Lunari's indoor-noob grow

My grow started on Tuesday June 22nd. I germinated a feminized Triple Cheese seed from Barney's Farm. This is my first serious grow. I am using a Mars Hydro TS1000 kit with the 2.3ftx2.3ft tent.

This grow is a single plant scrog loosely following Soil2Coco's masterblend feed schedule with a few changes.

Seedling popped out of the coco with it's cotyledons. She is in her final container, a 5 gallon grow bag of Mother Earth Coco + Perlite.

Almost a week has passed and we now have the first two sets of true leaves along with the cotyledons. I am watering around the base of seedling as needed with Masterblend mixed at 2g/1g/2g per gallon.

I'm going to start skipping a few days here and there (I took pictures almost every day)

Monday July 5th

The speed of growth is crazy compared to my windowsill kratky herbs. I am still only watering in an circle around the seedling.

I am starting to think. Should I top her like I have practiced on my window herbs or should I try to FIM? At this point I wasn't sure if I was going to scrog or manifold.

So I tried to FIM..... and I missed.... lol.... So I went back in to try to FIM again. You can see where I only managed to pinch off part of the fan leaves on my first try.

The growth tips from where the plant was topped have started growing out and so have all of the lower branches.

You can see my scrog net here and a few posts ago. This is not the one that came with the tent kit, I didn't like the one it came with.

You can see all the tops that have came up since topping 5 days ago.

I have circled some concerning areas. I did some research that led me to believe I need cal mag. I bought a bottle of CALiMAGic sometime after noticing this.

We have reached the net and the scrogging begins! This is my first scrog, I have read some people weave and some tuck. I'm going to be tucking.

Not much of an update but I really liked these pictures, especially the close up one.

I did some more defolating today. These pictures are from after. There were quite a few overlapping leaves, much better canopy airflow.

Monday, August 2nd (present day at time of posting)

Today she isn't looking very happy. I'm starting to think it's light burn because it's only at the top of the plant and have now raised up my TS1000 a bit. It is now about 25" from the net, and 22.5" from the tops sticking through but aren't big enough to go to the next square at 100% power. I am also worried it might be some kind of nutrient issue or salt buildup so I might also flush the coco with 1/4 strength nutrients + cal mag.

We'll see!

I flushed yesterday with 1/4 strength nutes + full CALiMAGic then PHed the solution to ~6 just in case there is salt build up. Along with raising the light I think it will be better but only time will tell.

I did some more defoliation today. We're at 40 days since the seedling popped out of the coco. I was thinking of flipping to flower today but I think I will give her at least a few more days, maybe a week more, in veg.

Wednesday, August 4th (evening)

Evening update, she bounced back great from the defoliation and is looking great. The top closest to the front of the tent has finally reached it's square. I am starting to think tomorrow or the next day she is getting flipped. :)

Tonight she will sleep for the first time since emerging from the coco 41 days ago. :blsmoke: There are only 6 out of 36 squares of the net not occupied by a top. Most have more than one. One unruly branch that can't quite reach the next square got tied down with come dollar store clamps and jute twine temporarily.
