Making a hydroponic stable PH up/down

I’m trying to make a copy-cat of General Hydroponics Ph Down. From what I understand most commercial PH downs are mostly Citric Acid and Nitric/Phosphoric Acid. Does anyone have success with a homeade ph down mixture?

Has a couple recipes (above link)

You can also list ph up recipes for those who may need it. I’ll still be continuing my research on the subject and logging it here.

I use sulphuric acid. Pretty damn stable with my Megacrop as well as Jack's Hydro when I was running it. Oh Maxibloom as and Canna A+B as well.

Heard sulfuric is really good at keeping the PH stable.
I also read if you PH your water down to around 4 with citric acid, and then back up to 6 with potassium hydroxide, it will make a very PH stable solution.
I only read that. It may be wrong as hell.

I got my ph alot more stable once i stopped adding ph adjusters straight in.

Now i dilute into a solo cup of water, wait a few min for it to diffuse

Then slowly add while stirring.

. My res used to rise up the next few days now its stable the whole week.

Also lower it a few points below what your looking for .

Target ph 5.8 il aim for 5.5 and let it creep to 5.8-6 and it will sit there for 7-10days .

I also use sulfuric acid. A $7 package from any auto parts store will make 4 gallons worth of PH down. I mix it aprox 1 cup of acid to 1 gallon of water. then use like regular PH Down.

I always used Phosphoric acid for pH down and sodium hydroxide "drain cleaner/lye" for pH up. I never need to pH up with the nutes I use so I only used sodium hydroxide to bring a reservoir up if I messed up and lowered the pH too much. Potassium hydroxide is probably a better choice but when I started hydro the sodium hydroxide was readily available and inexpensive. I buy phosphoric acid by the gallon for like $20.

You are right. I dilute it into a cup and pipette it in a few mls at a time. It is much more stable that way. It just takes a few more min is all.
