Does anyone know a recipe to extract just cbd from my plants? Also where is the best place for this to be found in the plant, I have read that leaves and stem have a great supply? Any help would be great

Or should I just nor worry about that and make a combination of both, I am wanting to make a rub on lotion for my 75 year old mother, that would not like the thc portion of the plant

It's not how it works. Any particular plant will produce a combination of thc-a and cbd (along with about 20 other cannabinoids). The percentages vary, but every part of the plant will have both. The flowers will have the highest concentration, but even the stalks will have some resin on them.

There isn't one location that has one but not the other.

If you only want cbd, find a source of hemp seeds that are federally legal, which means they will have a negligible amount of thc-a. The better strains will have 15%-20%+ of cbd, and no real thc-a.

Otherwise you get a blend.

FWIW, I make sav's as well. I use shake and popcorn from my grows, and it has both thc-a and cbd. Since I decarb them, the finished sav has thc. BUT, the sav is NOT psychoactive. Some people think there is a benefit to having both. But since it isn't absorbed into the bloodstream there is no high associated with it and you won't test positive.

Thank you so much for the reply and your knowledge, I appreciate anyone that will forward there information for another’s gain. This makes complete sense to me. So if I make a sav, she will not get loaded? Do you have a recipe for this? I have read on decarbination and it is fairly standard, although some recommend higher temps lower times. I’m always a slow but sure guy and would go lower for longer I think

Decarb: 240 degrees for 40 min.
I have an oil tincture recipe and a gummy bear recipe I use that are easy. The gummy's last a long time and don't need refrigeration.
Tell me if you want either and I will post them. I got off opioids with CBD and make my own full spectrum now instead of buying it. I use 20:1 seeds for CBD. Royal Queen Solomatic is a 22:1 CBD auto flower seed.
This is the extraction method I use.

Here's a link I started with. The essential oils are important; they help the cannibinoids get past the first layer of skin to the nerve cells.

As long as she doesn't eat it, she won't feel anything other than tingling skin from the oils like eucalyptus.

Btw, you don't need to decarb. Some say it's a toss up. It's just what I do.

My oil tincture recipe is: It will keep for over 1 year and will stay liquid at room temp, no need to refrigerate. I heat it up on a hot plate to blend but do not boil.
1 or 2g of hash oil depending how strong I want to make it, using the dosing calculator
1/3 cup unrefined pure coconut oil, the one that gets hard
1/3 cup Hemp seed oil
1/3 cup MCT oil
1 tsp lecithin
