Making cuttings of San Pedro cactus

At the www.bongify.nl headquarters we have a San Pedro cactus of more than 2 meters tall that can't grow any further because it's reached the ceiling, so we want to cut a piece off (or multiple pieces) and let those cuttings take roots. The problem is that we have no experience in this, so we are looking for a cactus expert to guide us. Is there anyone here on Rollitup that knows how we can make these cuttings successfully?

Watch san pedro mastery on YT.
They will explain the whole process better than I will.

make your cuts ,let them dry and scar over generally 1week per inch of cacti width. Then plant.

Why wouldn't you have done more research before taking on the task ?

Thanks a lot! Watched the videos yesterday, and today we cut off two pieces to dry and take roots later. I'll post some pictures later.

Thanks, that's good to hear. We're in the Netherlands where it freezes in the winter, so in the summer it is outside and in the winter we have it indoors. Because it has much less light, it gets no (almost) water in the winter.

Is anyone able to tell from the pictures what exact species it is?

I’m still learning how do identify SP or PC pachanoi sorry.
Yet again I’d point you in the direction of SPM on YT.

In the summer my cacti go outside as well, they spend the winter in my 30C tent.
This year is the first year I set up my tent and much better growth than in my south facing window with a led strip light above it like previous years

It’s hard not to be successful cloning San Pedro. Like really hard . I had a tiny piece I forgot about all summer in 110 degree heat just laying behind some boxes. It still grew roots looming for water

I think most people mess up by throwing it in dirt as soon it’s scar has healed it can last a long time on a shelf
