Male herm?

Way back when I first back crossed a strain I had female flowers show just like that. I went to the BCGA site and asked much the same question, the response from the knowledgeable ones there all agreed it was a back crossing trait and not worry about using it. They have not to this date created female herms. I do not know how long the trait remains in the male progeny it has not worried me.
Thats really good to know..
Im going to keep looking into this..im not doubting you at all..
I just want to get more info on this..
Thanks alot though, i am feeling alot better about using it , if thats the case..

I would do that too, this question comes up alot nowdays. Backcrossing has become popular as a way to try and restore strains. I only did it the one time maybe for two generations to try and save a special pheno, but came to the conclusion it wasnt worth it.

Ive gotten an endless sky( feminized) that i crossed with sour diesel. And have back crossed onto the parent plant ( endless sky fem) 4 times now.. some stablity to the progeny. Ive got bx3's and bx4's im still working on to them selves now.. i really couldnt get back the braided bud structure of the endless sky, but im happy with what ive accompleshed over 7 years..
Now i want to take this male and run it into two of my earlier flowering plants... the structure and smell of this male in awsome..

I was worried that this male herm trait would mess with the females crossing over into their female progeny .. get what i mean? Not sure if this make any sense.. im pretty stoned right now..lol

I just chopped 3 males. 2 Amnesia Haze and 1 Critical Mass. The pollen sacs are quite a way from opening so I hung them to dry. In articles I've read on vitimins they say that marijuna has more than kale. I've taken a capsule of raw and a capsule of decarbed every at. I don't know if it does anything but it can't hurt.

I hung them in an old barn that I know already had pollen from the commercial growers the llast two years. They weren't very careful about males.

Fortunately, these are small plants, no big loss.
