Im looking into upgrading my LED grow light from a 600w vivosun to a TS1000 from mars hydro. It only pulls 150 watts from the wall (about half of what the vivosun pulls) and is running a quantum board. It gets waaaay better coverage and would be almost half the cost in electricity and better yields. I foolishly didn’t do enough research when i first ordered all of my grow stuff, and spent $140 on the vivosun light when i could have bought the one i want now for the same price lol :/ .

I was wondering if anyone who has that model from Mars if they have also found success with it? Or Any other recommendations for efficient grow lights under $200.
My tent is 3x3

You'll likely not get the results you would with HPS or CMH. But if you're trying to save money it will grow a plant, maybe two.
Thanks for the reply. Do you have any of those lights you would specifically recommend? I know the 1000w might be a little light with only 150 watts at the wall but for using about 100 watts less in electricity it could be worth it

What size is your grow area? Have you had good yields with that light ?
I grow in a closet that's about 5'x 2.5'x 8' high. I only grow 1 plant at a time, but my last grow was a sour d that I yielded 5 dry ounces. I topped and lst'd so it was about 34" tall when chopped. I had blurples before that, so this one outperformed those.

Honestly u get what that wall pulls for the most part . It's a close indicator of yeild in my opinion. In other words what u are pulling from the wall matters

Spiderfarmer lights are a tad better, more efficient, same price roughly, sf1000 over the ts1000 anyday

So I grow using a few Mars-Hydro lights. If you wanted a light for a 3x3 I would suggest their TSW-2000. The TS-1000 isn't enough for a 3x3. I have the TS-1000 and the TSL-2000 , they are giving me great results.all4.jpg

My advice is better, 2 sf1000 can adjust lights different heights, more efficent, mars ts1000 are 1.95 umol, spiderfarmer sf1000 2.39 umol.
