i have gorilla from dinafem
shes one of my top plant pics
anything ive ever grown from ripper has been amazing.
theres alot of pollen tossers out there but look for breeders who have been around for a long time and proud to show it.
How many seeds did you get through before you found a real keeper?

3 phenos for gorilla
all 3 were great but the one i kept had chocolate undertones mixed with sourness. ultra dank.
i dont buy from shit breeders so the strains are generally stable.
i buy alot from Jordan of the islands which some of his strains are f1 so phenos can be alot diff. ill go through those until i find what i want but every seed ive grown from him was great. minus the godbud 2.0 which i cracked one and passed it along and she hermied on all 3 of us but that was the only one.
rippers been amazing with every bean ive cracked
except braincake so far shes a bit bitchy but we will see in the end. i still have more beans ill have to revist her later if it doesnt turn out

I have never heard about ripper, but his ripper haze look like something I could be interested. But still loterry. Dinafem before shut down for money loundering out sourced his seed production to third parties. I can make myself imagination how it really works...

its not a lottery with them. theyve been around making award winning strains for a long time.

Pollen chucking is fun, but it's something I'd rather do for fun myself than pay someone else $130 per pack for. I would rather see more breeders preserving more landraces, and even selectively improving them, or, creating stable strains of their own, than see anymore fotm polyhybrid chucks. I know I'm old now that I feel the need to lecture my young cousins when we smoke together and they tell me their "fantasy crosses", which never have a point to them besides "fire X fire".
While I find landraces interesting and respect what you're doing, I have no desire to cultivate them myself. I do think it would be fun to travel the globe seeking out strains in their native lands though. I've watched a ton of Strain Hunter episodes.

I am in your journal from the first day. There are some rules about journals, and I was not asked...

5 plants all using the same light, feed etc, 2 big plants in 10 ltr pots and 3 plants in 3 litre pots, the 3ltr (1gal)have done fine?
The two in the 10ltr are very poor and certainly don't resemble the mother.

One of the large plants was a clone from a known mother it's iron clad sound, all through flower they've been kept healthy, EC maintained religiously, never went dry, I didn't have any reason for concern until around 50 days when I suspected they weren't filling/bulking up like normal.

It's to late for any cure but i'd like to find the cause none the less.

I'm lost for reasons to shite bud from a healthy well maintained plant, it's still very resinous with dense pieces and it tastes and smells fkg amazing so it's not a total loss.

Anyone any ideas that ticks all the boxes?
I lean on this being a particular expression that doesn't agree with your environment or just bad genetics. Either way it doesn't really matter, I'd drop that one and move on.. it really isn't worth trying to master such a strain when you have ample alternatives that will give you more for less work.

:-) I ground and smoked it, anything from a hermie wasn't welcome, I don't think it would have been viable but regardless ignorance would have prevented me from planting it.

I've got a different view on the subject now after reading a bit here and there, they're not quite the end of the world like I once thought.
Previously the 1st sign of them and I'd have cut them down, they're not welcome but they don't scare me now.
Thats what we all thought HAHAHAHAHA  :bigjoint: Yes when you see pollen fucking RUN......... when you finally remember that you ran away from your own shit , you FLOOR it back to the scene wearing a spider mite suit with 10 fresh gallons of bleach..... first gallon goes right into the rez to kill whats there, the rest is taken out like a crime scene in plastic bags.... Everything is burned. then when we finally bleach the whole joint down.....we are still scared and we move to another location hoping the pollen didnt follow......:clap::clap: (my life from 1996-2003)

What do you guys/gals think?

It's maybe worth mentioning that I can only inspect/photograph the plants around the edges as in farthest from the light.

I cut down one of bigger plants today + one blueberry seedling (it's pish)
The big one isn't as disappointing as I expected though it's not my finest crop lol.
