Missouri voters have decided in favor of a ballot initiative (Amendment 3) legalizing the possession, cultivation, and licensed retail sale of cannabis for those ages 21 and older. The vote marks the first time that voters in a mid-western state have ever decided in favor of a citizens’ initiative legalizing marijuana for adult use.

Aaaaaand they put control of the buissiness in the hands of the uber wealthy who already control the entire medical marijuana market.

I fucking hate this state. Only good thing about this legislation is it will drive people back to the black market by raising prices for over the counter mids.

But hey, if the unions stop drug testing, Ill be content.

Just heard if you're in possession you can still get fined if you don't have a Receipt.

Big thing here is Meth. I found I have to have more security here because of my Pain Medication. We had house broken into just for my pills.

Have some paranoid Cops watching my place. Got one room with Grow Lights on House Plants they are all over it. I was told to just cover the windows but I'm having too much fun.

I haven't had any problems in this state. Had Outhouse was told it was Illegal. Then they said OK unless someone turns me it. Home Schooled no problem.

I disagree. It puts the future of missouri mmj buissiness in the hands of the small group of wealthy people who got the first set of permits in 2013. The corrupt individuals at the top have had the system rigged from the getgo. The opportunity to live the dream of running ones own farm or pot shop is dead, and amendment 3 killed it.

Woo-hoo, pot is "legal", you just have to give up the lions share of your 4th amendment rights just to grow your own.

Only good thing is that pots going to be so expensive that the black market will thrive.

I agree, dislike that cannabis will be in the hands of the wealthy/big corps in every state/country that does legalization. I've realized that this new industry is being built to benefit those at the top with bucket loads of dough just like many others that came before it[alcohol and etc]. I just hope that a craft market emerges that produces better quality products.

Thats where this is headed imo.

People will get into the culture from shops, and they'll love the convenience, the budtenders telling them what terps they like, and the constant variety. Then they'll be at a friend's house, or a concert, and hit some shit that blows their goddamn socks off. Then they'll start to wonder why their weed isn't as robust, and thats where the grey market steps in. People whove grown the same pheno for years and actually let the plant mature provide a truly unique product for a fair price.

Yup. and that's going to be an awesome thing. the legacy OG's being rewarded for all of their hard work and real love for the plant.

I doubt I ever go in a dispo here and I have no intentions to go into any sort of pot business. If I did I'm certain I'd feel different but for my own reasons - I grow my own - so I'm glad it will be finally legal for me to possess and grow my own stash.

Like I said it's not perfect but waiting on lawmakers in this GOP dominated state to pass something better has been/is a long wait. I'm old, I'm tired of waiting. You can disagree but I still like that it passed.

It's legal with an asterisk, at the expense of the people of the state of Missouri. We pay in our rights, our liscences and the opportunity to actually profit from our labor.

I have no problem with people like yourself voting in your best self interest. The legislation is objectively bad from the perspective of prosperity and civil liberties.

"Prohibition lite" . That's what you get when you get "permissiion" from the overlords to grow a couple plants. It furthers the idea that the overlords had, have and should have the ability to limit what you consume, grow, and engage in consensual trade in.

Fuck permission, fuck the people who make and enforce laws against freedom of choice. "If you give us money and obey us all your marijuana sins are forgiven" Yeah, fuck them.

The people who made the prohibition laws and then prosecuted and enforced those laws should pay reparations to their victims and then have their dogs shot, children taken away and their houses stolen. That might be a good place to start. Okay, maybe don't shoot the dogs,

MO was the first (red) mid western state to legalize it. Surprising at that. But in MO you can grow
like crazy, 6 plants a head, wow. Can't do that here unless for med use only. SHIT. Altho I wouldn't
grow anyway, cuz of the "pothead stigma" plus ppl are gonna break in and steal hell outta it. But if
it was legal to grow here, maybe I could score from a grower instead of the fucked up, corporatized
dispensaries with their no-high, choke buds.

Yeah, but here in MO you give the state permission to search your grow at any time. Which is a total 4th amendment violation.

If you have to sacrifice constitutional freedoms to grow, its not anything close to legalized.

they know if you're not growing more plants than are allowed by law?

Oh, in addition the MO law says you can have 6 flowering plants, 6 mid-
size ones and 6 starters. Jeeze, that's 18 plants a person! Just to get high,
not even for meds. Which here it's only 6 plants, for med only. MO the
blue state, who knew? :weed:

You've just described what is wrong with most state's "legalization" laws.
They assume your "freedom" is a revokable privilege and they are your overlord and you are their serf.

Good people disobey bad laws. Bad people use bad laws to stick their nose in others business as if they own you. They have my permission to fuck off.

You ever buy from the cannabis store? It's all i can get, and it is crap.
I can't remember one good jar of bud in 5 years. No-high, and choke weed is wot it is.
