Members of a key House committee on Tuesday backed a plan to fully legalize marijuana.

With the Success of Illinois it looks like there is at least a small progressive movement in the Great State of Missouri.

“I think there needs to be additional testing of the cannabis in the marketplace,” Christofanelli said. “I think there needs to be reasonable limits placed on possession and grow facilities.”
I believe the above quote is code for the "Republican Conservatives" want to see how they can get every penny they can from saying yes to legalization..

With a deadline for signing of May 13 one can cross their fingers.

It's all nonsense.
Any legalization means they've managed to arrange corporate contracts that make politicians rich.
Corporate mids and black market highgrade sprayed with Delta 8&9 is all that's left for average consumers.
Legalization only means the legal right to ingest chemicals or midgrade corporate fluff.

Some people are still struggling even after 400 years.
Let us stand together against tyranny even if it's just small steps. The march is a slow one but if it is even one small step forward it is a step forward.

You are absolutely right! It's a plant and how do you keep a plant a controlled substance? Keep it illegal in some form.
How do you keep the price of a plant that grows free in the Sun high? Stop everyone from growing it with threat of punishment.
So sure it's a house of cards but if we look at California, once everyone started to see the stupidity of the "medical-Permit" industry in making people with medical need pay a licensing fee to have the freedom of using Cannabis for medical things changed.
Now Medical people do not pay tax at all and often get discounts at dispensaries.
There is no lack of sales with it being legal to grow six plants for every household in California. Let us face facts growing your own is a job!
Growing your own takes time and money. Most just stop in at their favorite dispensary and buy some weed.

So first we are waiting for the Nixon people to die off and in time we will have the door open for the whole USA on growing your own.
That is when we have freedom. When we grow our own without going to prison.

Resistance is not futile! They cannot legalize it for Corporations without legalizing it for the people but look at how they are trying.

Believe me, I feel we come from the same place, intellectually and emotionally.
However, the facts still stand.
I was in Denver, Colorado to be put on the Medical registry in 2006.
I was full of hope and everything seemed to have shifted.
The people of Denver got tax rebates from the incredible sales.
Smokers of all sorts were working, running small grows and local dispensaries.
That all changed, and it's the changes which get instituted in other states, not the practices that spread the wealth and opportunity around.
Now, in 'legalized' states, a select few corporate growers and distributors get contracts to cover the entire industry.
Smokers and Medical users still have to deal with suspicious local cops who don't always stay up with the law, and have nowhere LEGAL to purchase from.

There's no question but that legalization will continue to spread, no matter your feelings or input, because it will be rolled out when it is rigged against you, even as a lone medical grower, because the laws that regulate YOU will be more stringent and more tightly regulated than corporate rules.
Just simply the facts.
Legalization is now hands off.
It really has nothing to do with you. It's effect on your is peripheral.

The Laws are simply the chain they call freedom. We can go only to it's end.
I agree make progress where we can now and keep on keeping on.
