Got my new grow lights a few month ago & just harvested my first plant grown under them. The kit came with 2 bulbs, One HPS & the other MH of course. I vegged under CFLs then put them under the HPS for budding, but I had the wrong bulb in the whole time. I budded under the MH bulb. I discovered it this morning when I put in the other bulb (thinking it was the MH) to start a new couple plants. Noticed the light was really red..
Then I went to the instructions (typical man eh?) D'oh!
I noticed while it was growning that it sprouted all over the place under the HID lighting.. way more than under the CFLs. BUt the buds never got big, but holy crap is it bushy. Im not SUPER experienced, but I have grown a few succesful plants over the years but I did notice the different growth pattern & that set a bell off in my head. SHould have thought it through 8 weeks ago & would have had a much better harvest I bet.
So, now Im vegging under 400 watts MH & will bud under the HPS in a few weeks. I bet the results will be spectacular
