New diving board arrived on Friday!

Installed it on Saturday:

Spring didn't line up with the hole by 1/4 inch! Use a ratchet strap to pull it to the sid enough to get the bolt in the mount (which is full of spider eggs in this shot).

Then it was time to hook up the gas to the heater:

Fired up and started heating the pool, which is currently 65 F.

Heater shut down 20 minutes later with an error! #%*&$!!!

Now I need to repair or replace the heater :cuss:

I have some stray seedlings popping up in the garden. We are expecting a rain storm so we will see how they do.
I fixed the pool heater after a week of troubleshooting. It was the thermostat. I replaced it with a cheap Chinese POC and it didn't fix it. Got an original Pentair and it fired right up!!! Ran the hell out of the heater while my grandson was visiting. Kept the pool at 94°F from Halloween until Christmas.

He went in at least three times a day! He is already a waterman!

The heater broke again and I had not had time to fix it until two weeks ago. It was the igniter. I ordered a genuine replacement and was placing it in the hole from the top and it slipped out of my hand and dropped about an inch on to the top of the heater tank. I picked it up and the fall had shattered the element :cuss:

Turns out they are very fragile. A warning note in the box would have been appreciated.
I ordered another and placed it delicately in the mounting hole. Secured it. Connected the wires. Fired it right up.
While I was attaching the access panels the heater kicked off. I turned the heater off and on and it fired up. Got the pool up to 91°F from 52°F in a day. Enjoyed the pool for the 4 days we had a heat wave and now it is off and we will wait for the next bout of good weather.

Cheers,
Mo
