Most disorganised, last minute grow ever!

With those high temps and no fan you could seal the room and add note of those moisture things. Make a c02 rig. Like a five gallon water jug with juice in it. Ad sugar and yeast. I'm not sure if that will get the c02 ppms up high enough. Try a couple five gallon water jugs. When your done you have wine to drink. Lol.

Apparently we got bud rot cos I let it go too long and, just like fruit, it's become over ripe and started to rot, which is funny cos I'm sure I never saw rotten fruit that rotted from the stem outwards before.... And since it's only 8 weeks today since we flipped them to flower, and there isn't a single fucking amber trichome on the bloody things and barely any cloudy ones, I'm pretty damn sure my weed isn't over fucking ripe! Plus all my reading says it has come from spores that have got into the plants from elsewhere and spread through the stems. I'm heartbroken. After fighting so hard to let them finish too. We're chopping all 3 plants that have shown signs of bud rot today and I've got the others on water only now with only 10 hours light. Is there anything I can do to make my plants mature faster since they're all gonna have to come down early? I'm off to get a few more of those little dehumidifier tank things to put in there to lower the humidity.

It's not because they are to ripe! You'd have to grow a 9 week plant for weeks to long before the buds would be to ripe and rott. Mold is everywhere! It needs dead plant material, and perfect conditions to grow. It's always because of Temp and humidity. Don't beat yourself up over this. 55 days is only a few days away from 63, so your smoke should still be good. And if you read around, I don't know of one person who hasn't had a battle with bud rott once in there life. Temp/humidity,air circulation are the key to prevention. You have done great so far. Don't let this little setback discourage you. And don't be surprised if it happens again!

I know I know, and it was said to me with the best of intentions but it's a sensitive time lol. Once we get these down I'm gonna strip and bleach the whole room out before we put any more into flower, get a few more fans and an ozone generator in there too. It's just one of those things, live and learn, but I had such a fight keeping them up and was determined they were going another week at least. Obviously wasn't meant to be. But, I have an almost full veg closet ready to go for round 2, onwards and upwards :bigjoint:

Sorry to hear you're dealing with rot. I lost a lot of smoke a few years back from it. I hit my outdoor and indoor the same year. Grew around 20 yrs and never experienced it til then. It's heartbreaking and sucks donkey balls. Hope you can salvage a nice s
Head stash out of it.

Thanks guys, appreciate it. We're gutted but it's just one of those things, better luck next time and all that. It's just sad trimming the buds, most of them are just obviously not done and you can see the potential in them, what they should've been. Trying to trim out as much of the leafy stuff as possible to open out the buds and hopefully prevent losing any more to rot. And my nice slow dry has had to go out the window too, I just can't risk having them hanging around damp so we'll be putting the radiator on overnight, not blasting them, I don't want them roasted but, even though the temperature outside is much warmer through the day now with summer coming, it still gets quite low overnight so I'm gonna use the radiator to keep a constant warm temperature in there and have the 16 inch fan on the middle setting blowing around the room. I read it's best not to have the fan directly on the buds but is it ok to have it blow on them if it's just sweeping past backwards and forwards?

For this crop I'd make an exception to the no direct wind law. You want to get the humidity of the buds down to 50 or 55% as quickly as possible. Mold won't grow at that humidity. Watch them carefully, and you should be ok.

Is anyone prepared to take a guess at how much is there? I know it's a bit sad to look at but you can just about see in the pics the size of the buds we're dealing with and how much we've got hung up, I have no clue how to estimate a weight and we've no scales yet so I don't even know the wet weight.

Possibly a lb give or take a little?

We harvested the 4(!) plants that showed any sign of bud rot, it's a bit depressing but there's still a fair bit there I guess, got to be grateful for that much. View attachment 3678706 View attachment 3678707
Thats a shame to have to cut down earlier than you wanted to! The yield looks great but its a bitch knowing what could have been! Glad you noticed it from the get-go though, could have been much worse, that stuff is unforgiving! And glad to see you've got the other girls ready to go, gotta keep it moving and chuggin along :) I suppose it's better that they were cut down with a little bud rot rather than the early flowers we all saw from about 2-3 weeks ago, that would have really sucked lol.

So, having just harvested 4 plants early and being a bit disappointed and all, there's a lot of bud being speed dried round here! Well, not a lot, only a joint at a time, and I have to say I'm pretty chuffed with my weed, it's pretty nice. It isn't the most potent weed I ever smoked, or the prettiest, but it's actually a nice smoke, decent stone and it looks so good under the microscope with big milky bubbles and shards of glass, and there's even the odd spot of amber. I'm trying to hold the tablet steady enough to take pics through the microscope but I wasn't having much luck and then the battery died, so I'll have to try later. I may have to smoke another joint first, though. :bigjoint:

All 11 white widows are now down. We got about 25oz all in all, which I don't think is too bad for an early harvest but it's a bit gutting to wonder how much there would've been if I hadn't had to cut out so much rotten shit and if they'd been able to go full term. I made butter with all the trim and made some brownies. The first batch was a box mix so it didn't really work out too well cos the butter made it greasy and I really struggled to swallow it. I've never been stoned like that in all my life, it was almost like tripping, loved it so had to have another go and try to solve the nasty greasiness and strange weedy aftertaste. The second batch were beautiful! I used 350g of dark chocolate and melted it up with the cannabutter, loads of it, and marshmallows, I figured that should disguise the cannabutter taste. It was melty, gooey goodness, more like chocolate pudding but once I put it in the fridge for a few hours it set perfect and it's now the consistency of a torte, and absolutely gorgeous. I had a slice last night with Ben & Jerry's and double cream, awesome, I've got one piece left for later but I think I'm maybe getting used to it as it doesn't seem as intense as it did the first few nights. I've got all sorts of ideas for what to make next, I might make some cereal breakfast bars....
