Most efficient # of plants in a 4x4

I’m gonna be getting a 4x8 tent & one sf4000 to start with. I only plan on using half of the tent for now, but if the light could cover more then I’m open to using more of the tent.

how many plants, in 7 gallon pots, should I use in order to yield the most bud under the sf4000? This is in a 4x4 unless you suggest otherwise.

also how big of any area can one AC Infinity T4 regulate effectively?

the more space you have the more you can get from 1 plant. Why not go 15 gallons on the pot and grow 1 massive plant? LST, top, train and maybe even take some clones off before flipping to flower.

Time wise, I'd say 4. Tried 9... tried 6.. too many. 4 is almost too many.

I like to do 1. Vege it long... top it at the 2nd node once it's two feet tall and spread it out. Fill up your 4 x 4 with that.

It's all about how long you want to veg for. You would obtain a harvest in less time with 4 plants compared to 1 large plant. 1 large plant would be easier to trim usually but take at least a month longer to finish. Your AC Infinity should regulate the 4x8 just fine.

Go fast :
Use clones 16-25 for each m2/ 24-36 clones in a 4×4
, put them in Medium
And Give em 0-10day veg (Depence on strain and how mature the clones was)
And then grow em out

Most efficent way to go

With the right strain you can do 4- 5 harves a year

How much you get out Depence most on light and your skills , with led i would say 1,5g per Watt is good(nice strain and mono culture you can get over 2g per watt

Gow much Watt does the sf4000 use

Use 30-40w led per sf

I grow in the same size tent and have tried differing numbers but to be honest I'd say 4 too.

That space with 4 plants devides it up nicely and helps with environmental issues.

I'm a 600 HPS grower, not LEDs.

These are mine now at 5 weeks, 4 plants in 20ltr pots with little training but topped and bent a bit.

More plants does not mean more bud. I have fairly consistent harvests although I never really exactly weight it in recent times. I just go by the jars I fill but always end up with around 600 nice dried grams every harvest regardless of how many plants.

Stick to 4 I'd say because you reduce growing issues plant wise and environment wise plus the likelihood of actually produceing more bud from less plants. That has been the case many times with me and I expect a decent yeild again from my 4 plants.

Dope. That’s in a 4x4 there? Also which HPS light do you use

Would you recommend a yield lab or ipower Etc?

Would I be better off switching to HPS? It seems like it would yield more & is significantly cheaper.. is the difference in power usage by LED replacements sizable enough to make them worth?

I went to LED for heat issues. More cheaper, LOL, when not using climate control to regulate heat. Your situation should point you towards the best selection. Different locations. Sorry.

Depends on your situation. HPS uses more power for same result and produces much more heat. As an example just took down my 1000 watt HPS. I replaced it with an HLG 600 Rspec. It dropped my tent temp by a solid 5 degrees celsius which makes a difference to me, no need to run an AC. It's also cheaper on electric bill and should give me comparable results. The trade off is much higher cost up front. Just depends on your situation and environment. Both Quality LED's or a good MH/HPS system will produce great results. I do 4 plants in 5 gallon fabric pots in that space.

I'd get this light instead for $721 while it's still on sale if it was me.
