First let me say that THIS IS NOT MY SETUP!
I stumbled onto this on YouTube then the guy changed setups and later stopped making grow videos. I just plan to use this a blueprint and like everyone here I'm infatuated with vertical growing.
But there is limited knowledge for setups for the little guys or the DIY guy like myself.

But this setup is very simple and requires knowledge of canopy management. The price varies based on how you obtain equipment.

Lights: Fluence’s SPYDR FANG 680w, these are what he uses and there $800 ea. He turns them up to 80% max. But a bar style fixture for a 4x4 and your golden. (6 for a 4x12 rack) (4 for a 4x8 rack)

Pallet Racking. They are standard 4' wide post but they vary in hight so be prepared to cut the post. For me, the shortest post is 10' but the beam length varies with 8',10',12',16',& 20' being the common lengths found and the price varies from 75-200 on fb marketplace. Dude used 12' for two racks and 8' for the third.

The trays are standard plastic F&D trays. For the 12' he use a 4x8 and a 4x4 per level.

Pots are 2 gallon square pots.

Surprisingly, dude hand waters with a wond and pump. Uses a quest dehumidifier and CO2. He runs monocrops of Pink Runtz and pulls a whooping 20, form 3 racking systems. In a bedroom with a bathroom connected that's was stripped out.

Hypothetically I could put together a 4x12' rack system for around 2500 haggling on used items to get started and upgrade from that. That's 96 sq ft per rack. Personally I average slightly over a elbow no including popcorn in 9sq ft

Right now with my setup I just now started get slightly over a elbow not included popcorn with canopy management and crop steering in a 3x3(9sq ft) tent using 350w. SOG style with a touch of SCROG training. I water with a pump and wond also. I run 4 identical setups.

I'm no expert but from a grower, I think it makes no sense financially. Just hear me out. Because it's not the rolling rack you only can access the garden from the middle vs all sides. The sides against the wall will like not receive the same attention and care as the plants near the middle isle. You can only have a warehouse. You still need to build a 2 part veg room for incredibly large moms, cloning, and veg. For the amount of weight coming out of that thing you need a large dedicated dry room and work space.
