Multiple plants in hempy bucket?

I’ve got one tent with a coco set up under HLG’s. I’ve bought another tent because I quickly ran out of my meds and decided I need to grow more. I want to do hempy in this one, I plan on buying some more quantum boards to put over them (if QB’s gave me that level of vigorous growth in coco I imagine it will be even more extreme in hempy).

My question is this; if I want to grow two plants would it be better to use two buckets, or should I use one large storage tote that will take up even more space than the buckets.

I saw this one guy on reddit say that it all starts with cramming a few plants in a closet, then the next thing you know they’ve taken over every inch of spare room in your house. I’m starting to see this is true. Very hooked on this hobby.

it's better IMO to use two buckets so you have control over the individual plants
if you go into the same tote, I would try to do my best that the plants are transplanted into it at the same growth stages, that way they have an even amount of time to spread roots into the tote.

with two buckets if one plant is growing slower or a light feeder, you get a little more versatility

Not advised to have multiple plants in same container..but doesnt mean you cant do it, but if you run into issues with one how do you adjust?...just a thought

i did 3 plants in a flower planter (6" tall 8" wide and 3ft long) with 100% perlite.

all same strain. they came out fine.

so it can be done.

All good answers, all from frequent users that I recognize. Thank you OG’s.

My whole reason for asking was the “bigger roots equal bigger fruits” mantra. I’m wondering if there are any advantages to using buckets, or if two large storage containers would result in larger plants than say a 3 or 5 gallon bucket.

I tried two plants in the same fabric pot, both different and same strains. Yield was less than one single plant and so was quality. I believe they kinda "fight" each other. I won't be doing it again.

I use 1 tote for 2 plants and it works fine. I use the same strain in both. As long as the tote is +5 gal per plant you should have lots of room for roots.
Draw back with 2 buckets is 2 pumps etc or piping that can leak. With 1 its all inside and no leaks...well mine is like that.
