My doctor was my friend for 35 years

That sux. A good family doctor is almost impossible to get these days and one who is a friend is rare indeed.

I may need that surgery myself one of these days but now I'll put it off if it comes up. They found a half dozen diverticular pockets in there with my last colonoscopy and next year will be due for another.

With any luck something else will put out my lights before serious surgeries do it.

Losing a doc is brutal even for less time but that’s looking at me not my intent
I had a physical last month and teased him about working till death
He said it was probably his destiny
I will forever remember when I blew his mind walking on to his property with a joint lit and no regret lol
I’m kinda blunt and he liked honestly
Everyone needs a serious look at living wills and for the life of me I never understand young people mocking seniors for growing old
I thought that was all our goal
I had a wager with my Doc I would outlive him
Never imagined I would collect
