I decided to put the light I used for my seedlings into the greenhouse to compensate for the lack of light during the day as we loose daylight now.

I have my 4 ladies under it while they vegg, goes on from 8pm-12am the light stays on.

I know it's not the best light but anyone think it will do for the 4 hours will the plants grow slow and be a little sad?

I think that they wo t grow huge under that light, but that's not the point is it? the point is to not have them flower. if your just not trying to flower than any t5 should work your just breaking the 12/12 now of you want your plant to have visible growth during that time, I assume you would want at least 600w hid for like a 4*4 to a 6*6 greenhouse. idk tho

I use 600w metal halide in my hoop house when I move my plants out in the spring. It gets turned on at sunset and runs until sometime after midnight. I primarily run it to keep them from flowering but they do get plenty of usable light. As I keep them close together at first. It also saves a lot of electricity because the sun is taking care of the for most of the day.20210522_190810.jpg

So, yeah use your light to gas lantern them, and when they get bigger, cut it out.
Good luck friend!
