Need help deciding on a light for a 2x4

Hey guys! Wanted to see if I can get any help choosing a light for my 2x4.

I am new to growing and I haven’t pulled the trigger on anything because I want to feel 100% confident and content with the things I end up getting.
Im hoping to set up 4-6 buckets depending on bucket size in my 2x4 (drip system)

I want a 600w light, with as much coverage and penetration as possible.

not sure which light to go with, I may just get a 2x2 for seedlings and clones and leave the 2x4 for veg and flower, I’d need a light recommendation for that as well. But mainly maximizing my 2x4.

thanks guys!

I’ve used an SP6500 (650w) by mars hydro that performed very well in a 32”x60” tent. Would probably be a bit much in a 2x4 unless those walls are kept at bay.
I think if you got this same size tent you’d be happier & fit more plants. I’m currently running 8x 3 gal pots under it. These are old pics. And the only harvest I’ve had with this light, and in this space.
If you already have a 2x4 I’d suggest something smaller.. maybe 320-350w max with a dimmer.
multiple lights isn’t a bad idea if growing different strains at once, as they can adjust. Hope you find what’s perfect for you. This is all the experience I have with that many watts in a similar space. 946AE1FD-2E6C-4A92-BCB8-DD88AA4F9369.jpeg3773FDE2-DA39-4B2C-ABA9-DE993AA5153E.jpeg94599C04-DBA2-4CAF-9C71-F0EA039EC9E6.jpeg24047FD9-6EC4-4444-8FB3-A1FF10275D10.jpeg3E32C649-0638-4599-AAF2-64EC09D8B4C2.jpeg

No regets lights. Long life....great warranties and no regrets.
I'm running an HLG 250W Veg Pro and have to keep it at 1 so as not to scorch my clones LOL @Laughing Grass runs two of the 350R's, I considered them but worried they'd be too strong for my intended purpose.

Having run both cheap lights and HLG, I think anything other than HLG is a compromise.

I'll soon be replacing my old HLG 300 with a Veg Pro. The old girl just keeps going.

I would buy two of the smaller LED panels, their price/performance ratio are higher then bigger panels.

Phlizon has great deals on their 100w led panels currently. It's nice to have two panels to be able to have to different levels of canopy.

I appreciate the insight! I was looking at the HLG Diablo 350r, mars Hydro sp300 and the sp6500. Really want the sp6500 but I agree with you, it may be a little too tight.

I do really wanna stick to the 2x4 because it makes the most sense for the room I’m putting everything in.

I was looking at the grow craft x3 and x6 as well but I feel more confident in HLG.

I guess the question is, how tight would the sp6500 be in a 2x4 ? Would most say it’s a bad idea, or maybe I can get away with it?
