Neem Spray vs Concentrate

Dilution is for the concentrates. I would suggest buying the concentrate so you get a better bargain. That bottle probably only has 2 tablespoons of Neem in it. Pair it with a $10 dollar gallon garden sprayer/mister and go crazy.

If I were adding Neem to the soil I would admend or top dress with Neem seed meal.

That product is only 2% neem oil. You're better off getting a small bottle of just neem oil. You'll go through that 20 oz bottle in a couple of uses.

You want the concentrate that you can mix yourself.

This is twice the price but will make 16 gallons of spray.

Search amazon for "neem oil 16 oz" and you'll see a range of 100% neem oil products from $13 on up. That's a good size to get-you use 5 ml neem/quart of water, and you add a wetting agent to that like some dish soap, or even better, Dr Bronners castille soap or yucca extract (i use GS plant foods powdered yucca). Then you shake the heck out of it, and you'll see the oil has blended together with the water and looks sort of milky-that's what you're going for. You can use that concentration as a foliar or soil drench.

Yeah, I'd wait until they have a few nodes and stand up strong. Always spray really well under the leaves, and the soil surface, each time you use it. Plain old cold pressed neem oil is one of the best IPM choices out there-if you use it once per week up until flowers start forming, you shouldn't have any trouble with insects or fungus. One thing to consider getting is the small bottle of Southern Ag Garden Friendly Fungicide. I add a few drops in with the neem mixture, and I also spray it separately and add it to my nutrient solution once per week as a root drench, it's only $7.99 for the small bottle. It's extra insurance against PM and botrytis during flowering, and it also prevents damping off in seedlings. You can start using it from seed/cutting.

A clean environment is also pretty helpful.
If you go out in nature or into another garden don’t wear the same clothes in your clean environment.

now another suggestion is OHN for disease prevention. I’ve been eyeing people selling it on Etsy and I’m intrigued. Googled OHN KNF if you want to learn more. I’m no expert on KnF.

Also nematodes!

I'm getting ready to order all this stuff today, should I go Dr Bronners Peppermint Castille Soap? And the Southern Ag Garden Friendly Fungicide, is that cool to use in living/organic soil? Like its not gonna kill my myco network right? Thnx!
