Got a 10x12 room inside my house , so far I have 2 400 watt and 1 600 hps , dehumidifier, fans , c02 set up (no tank yet) , nutes. My plan is to hook up a mini split , and I’m doing a sog grow forsure , I have about 100 clones that just rooted and will be setting up my room tomorrow. I’m using sunshine 4 . My question for any experienced grower is .... what else do I need, and is it worth getting flood trays to water on tables since height won’t be a issue with a sog . Also thinking of getting a fat reservoir . Running lines down the row that I can connect a water pump to water one line at a time instead of individual. Any advice , opinions , thoughts are welcome , running blue gelato and blue cookies . Also how can I seal off the room from the inside . I’m going to just throw a board over my window for no light leak , and thinking of cutting a hole in the ceiling closet to vent the heat and stale air .

Panda film, hydro farm tent door to seal the room. Tables are really nice as far as not having to vacuum run off and just makes things easier. I'd buy a 24k btu mini split as that will handle all the lights you can stuff in the room in the future.

How much of that 10x12 are you planning on using for canopy space? What size flood trays?
If you want to be sealed don’t cut a hole in the roof. Unless you are planning on framing a room or putting a tent inside the bedroom and mounting HID ballasts outside the grow space.

I’m planning on using all of it as soon as I buy everything else , thinking 12 lights , 4 rows of 3 lights mostly 400 watts

thats about 2x size of my flower space and I do six plants with 2 hlg 550 LEDs. Your gonna be able to SOG a bunch in that space. Awesome set up man.
I think about 300 to 400 plants , if I fill it all out I could fit 480 plants 4 per square foot, but I need space to move around Incase of anything . You have any pictures?

Flood and drain is simple with no spaghetti hose to clog or otherwise be a complication. Use some LECA and load em in at 3 - 4 per sqft depending on strain.

You could run 3600-4200w of LED or 6000w of HPS.
Alternating 320w QB’s & 315w CMH’s would be a good blend of spectrum and great coverage for a SOG.
I was thinking of using qbs but I never have and I hear mixed feelings about them , what do you use

I run 600w HPS but have some 240w 3500K QB's on the way. Will probably pair the QB's with 3100K CMH's.

I see a lot of comments I didn’t read them all except the first few.
ok, so first thing scrap your lights. Buy 4x double ended fixtures. Yes, it’ll cost a couple bucks but you’ll be happy afterward. I use revolution deva, comes ballast everything included.
Use your window, put up a plywood or gyprock piece with cut holes and get a floor Model a/c with hoses etc, vent it out through that window.. I don’t think you’ll need any extra cooling than with a 18-24k btu air conditioner..
Now, that’s flower covered best scenario possible light wise, decide how you wanna grow, you can pick up some 315w ceramic mh fixture bulb combo also not too expensive, or some led (or of your current ballast are switchable use mh bulbs in those.. once they outgrow the light footprint your lights cover, switch on the double Enders as you need them, when you’re 75% stacked under all 4 lights (this is where training will help you, scrog, topping, lst... ) if plant numbers aren’t an issue sog is still fine. I’d prune them before flowering to have big tops and no wasted bottom buds.

Also, for watering .. if you really need to set it and forget it. Go with a recirculating system but it gets complicated and can be a bitxh when things start going wrong like clogged sprayers etc, I prefer to do it hands on. Reservoir hose pump and a long handheld sprayer. I can do 180 plants and about 1:15min
