New grower , growing amnesia haze, 2 week old, problems ??!

Hi guys,

I’m very new to growing , in the U.K. where it’s still very much illegal, I’m doing it as I had cancer and i want to make organic good oil to help, I’m only 28, not ready to go yet ! Been around cannabis etc for years, just never tried to grow
so I’ve got some LEDS set up, only two plants for myself ,
My seedlings are two weeks old,

The last few days the first set of fan leaves are starting to droop here and there, also, one of the fan leaves seems to have a piece missing .... not sure why

As for the soil, it’s coco coir and a bit of Peat , with perlite, all mashed up ,

I have the lights going 18/6 , and as they are LEDS only about 4 inches from the plants , not much heat , no sign of yellowing etc, I’ve done lots of reading, but not spoken to seasoned growers ,
I want to know that they look ok,

I had them in wet fertiliser for the first 10 days till I realised it was soaking and the roots couldn’t push through, I managed to transfer them ok and they have taken to the new pots and coco coir nicely,

but last two days, the first two fan leaves to appear are most certainly starting to droop, or look like it to me

I guess my question is,

Are they a good size for 14 days, and lights ok, and when to start using plant food ?
And do the first fan leaves look like they are slightly wilted , or is it just as the weight of them becomes more ?

thanks guys, have a good day.

That dirt doesnt look good
Cheers man, most of it is Tiny, I crumbled the block of coco coir up to dust ,
it cost a fair bit ,
But that top layer is just some chunks I whacked on top around the stem as I started off with lights to far away, so it grew a bit long (all a learning process ) I’ll grind it up more if you think that’s best

Are you sure you have perlite in your soil? Because I don't see any! If there is then theres not enough... i suggest a better soil or coco mix.

Also when watering try to water around the outside of the pots. To encourage root growth.

It looks overwatered but the seedling looks fine. Def add more aeration to your medium

didn't you also say you're LED was 4 inches from the canopy? How powerful are your lights? I would raise your light to 36" - 48' away from the top of the seedling

seedlings and clones are delicate at a young age... a better approach would be to raise your light depending what you use. This will ensure you aren't drying out your soil too quickly and it will prevent burning the tops of your plants leaves

There is no heat at all they are 40 w , been that close for 2 weeks ? I saw somewhere it said 7 to 12 inches is about right .....

The leaves aren’t showing signs of burns or damage from light , but I’ve moved them up a bit , someone else told me to move them close as the stem was getting so bloody long , haha different ways and different opinions, pretty resilient so I hope they will get through !

If you are worried about the main stem becoming week then you should be running a small fan to circulate air around it... this will promote stem strength so they don't wilt over and break

Sorry to hear your situation mate, I would go to my local GP and have a chat with them about getting prescribed Sativex, worth a try as you will be eligible for a prescription
