So I planted into a little starter cup, using one of those peat starters. It is now up. Should i transplant it into the soil i am growing with?:bigjoint:

it is about double the size now...

haha...welcome to RIU :fire:...yep as dr. j said, but you will want to keep a CFL over it so it won't stretch (about 2 inches above) don't wana rush into an HID till it's bigger if at all...are you doing a CFL or HID grow...or getting ready for spring (outside)???... what strain? or bagseed? Those little round leaves are cotyledons ((cotyledons=food/energy for younglings)) , when they start to turn yellow and wilt it will be time to transplant into a 1gal pot and start 1/4 strength nutes, from what's recommended on your nute bottle...good luck...

I am doing CFL. I have it about 2" above..Ok thats cool...Small computer case grow...my first try my plants grew really well, but both were male, so starting again....bagseed, so don't know sex..but I look at it as a further learning exercise....hopefully she is female... and thanks again for all the replys. I will keep you posted.....:bigjoint:

Don't TP until your widest leaves reach the side of the cup. That means the root system has grown the same amount and has now reached the insides of the cup. After roots "side-out" and reach the cup sides it will start to grow more aboveground. You will see very little growth aboveground until the roots grow out. If you TP now you are wasting the effort you put into using the cup. BigSteve.
