New to growing anything...

So, I'm only 19 year sold. I just graduated high school finally and I'm looking for a future career. Well Cannabis growing may be one of them, but I still need to learn.

So for the next year or so while I live with my parents, my buddy and I are going to practice growing. First thing is first, we are just going to grow normal plants. Not cannabis. Just get the hang of growing and taking care of the plants. Learn tips and tricks and what not.

So my weird question is, and sorry if this doesn't belong in this thread, but does anyone know of a plant that is legal and can be found in the US that grows similarly to cannabis or might be a good plant to train for cannabis growing?

From what I've read tomatoes grow quite similar. And milk thistle. I'm as much of a newbie as you tho so don't take my word for gospel. Google could probably ping you an answer for this in seconds.

i would suggest just getting some bag seed and giving one or two plants a go tho. Growing cannabis and growing 'like' cannabis are two different things. Even if you end up with a couple of windly males its experience growing the plant you want to grow.

Anyway, good luck and happy growing :)

[h=1]Marijuana+Vegetable Hybrid?[/h]Ok somehow my friend in Canada,
figured out how to make a hybrid marijuana plant=Marijuana+Vegetable.
And he tells me that he wanders if the plant would be legal.
He said that the marijuana has the
same exact effect than before. I'm not going to do Drugs
myself, but i am curious that
since it is basically legal, (being an all new plant it's self), but the same effects as plain marijuana.
By the way it is mixed with a common kitchen vegetable.
Is this true?
Will award best answer. ( MY FRIEND IN CANADA=BMEAT lol )

Sure it wasn't grafted?? Its really hard to find a food plant within the same family of species. And if it where found better copyright that shit before Monsanto does. Monsanto is one evil company.

Does look funny. I have a cannabis culture mag that had an article on a crazy looking clone only mutant. The leaves where rounded and didn't look like a typical plant in veg. In fact you could of planted it with Yer front yard and get away with it. Then the pics of it in flower looked just like bud. Only a trained eye or stoner would only know.

If I remember correctly its in Australia.

I'm curious as to what vegetable he fused it with there is not anything i'm aware of besides hops that can be mated with cannabis.

Grafting has been done with tobacco and tomato. So assuming it would be successful with cannabis and the right mate.

Oh and OP, train on tomato, hops or ruderalis if you want a first timer fail safe.

Okay, tomato it is. So I live in south jersey, and I hear it's late for tomato season. Any idea if it's okay to grow them still?

Kinda stuck on indoor vs outdoor as well.

Indoor is infinite growth the outside season doesn't matter you manipulate the season's yourself indoors.

Plus it keeps prying eyes off your goodies.

This of course assume's you can put down on an indoor grow kit. If not let mother nature do it for you. She works for free!
