Newbie - What Size Pot or Smart Pot to Grow In?

This is my first year growing and I want to do it right. I've got some Sour Diesel clones that are about 2' tall now and I was considering growing them until harvest in some pots or smart pots. What size would be big enough to grow in until harvest?

Smarts pots are your best bet.
The bigger the pot, the bigger the plant, so that depends on you. I'm guessing 25-35 gallon pots should be just fine. I can see plants getting 10-15 ounces easy in pots that big, maybe more.....depending on strain too!
Good luck...

going with the smart pots is a must compared to regular pots

i'm using some 100 gallons a few 65 gallons 45 gallons 30 and 10.

it depends on how big you want your plant and how much you can afford spending on soil.

for top quality soil i spent about 100 bucks filling up the 100 gallon.

i would say a 35 or 45 gallon is prime

the plants roots will eventually go through the bottom if they are on top of dirt too

Bigger they better like the other posters have stated. I'm growing tomatoes in 65 gallon aero pots and they are getting huge; already wishing I went for larger.

I put my smallest indoor plant into a 10 gallon aero pot versus the other plants 5 and 7 gallon pots and it is now (1.5 weeks later) much larger than the rest. Size matters in some circumstances.
