I have a 5x5 tent with a 4x4 flood and drain table. Its set up. Ready to run. Timers are set and ready to go. I ran it for 24 hours to make sure i did it right. I have a light by better options. 640w. Really its like the growers choice roi. I think thats what it is comparable to. I have the sun up/down controller also. I am using another water pump inside my 50 gallon nutrient reservoir for circulation. Not constant. I think just when my table gets ready to fill. About five minutes before to stir it up. And then the whole time my table floods. Which it only takes about 8 minutes. So you mentioned the 8 inch rockwool. I bought 6 inch to transplant into. But i might do the 8 inch. I also bought some white felt to go underneath the blocks. Seen Johnny's green extractions doing it on youtube. Their end product was amazing. And they seem to know what they are doing. Anyway. I have all the nutes. So i can use the cal-mag and dilute it by half? I really appreciate the time you took to send such a detailed message back to me. Thanks. Yes please. Send some pics. I can germinate and veg everything seperate with a t5 light if thats better and leave them in that for 3-4 weeks. But i would really like them to be in their home for the whole time
I also ph my water. I have the calibration solution and the ph up/down and a ppm/ec meter also with the buffer solution. Syringes are coming from Amazon. Along with a 4 inch intake for my fan pulling air in the tent. I have the ac infinity setup and it will work in conjunction with my 6 inch with the carbon filter on the inside. Along with an oscillating fan inside. Then i piped it to a window fan to exhaust the old air. I alsi sleep in the same room as my tent. Lol. Your welcome for the mini novel. I have learned so much in the last month its amazing. Thanks again for reading all of this.

Beautiful setup and no problem what good is a community if we're not here to help one another but I mentioned the 8 to 10 inch simply for the stabilization of the plants but 6 will do perfectly fine no need to spend more money plus I'm sure you'll use a net/yoyo at some point if need be...( Let's hope so) but yeah Cal-Mag is a solid base nutrient when diluted... It's worth looking up on your own so that you can see the benefits during seedling stage.... It's a common practice but not all do it with cubes they have their own method's so you may or may not want to take that route... There's a few YouTube channels that I follow "Liquid Jade, Med grower 1, vader og sometimes uploads, That high guy is older but is a beast grower but vader og has a nice flood to drain set-up and some of his older video's are definitely helpful.

So helpful. Thanks again. I am going to mix up some cal-mag for when the light comes back on. I believe the odd plant that has lost most all of its stem color is hungry. The 5 ethos look pretty decent.

I recently made my first purchase from NASC & it couldn't have been smoother. Beans arrived in 3 days (east coast) along with freebies. I have been using DCSE and buying direct from Cannarado after a less than stellar experience with Seedsman. I am thrilled to be buying US without all the hassles of customs & BS European seed banks.

Definitely listen to your wife...You know the saying "Happy wife happy life" in this stage of your seedlings life you can use diluted nutrients but only because you're using cubes which means they are receiving none at all compared to soil with nutrients in them....In my personal growing journey I waited a week before using anything with cubes because the seedlings have enough to sustain themselves for that period of time....Also I think I ran by one of your other posts where people were saying the cube is to wet...Well that can and can't cause issues.... Obviously there needs to be a middle ground of oversaturation versus moist because with cubes you have to keep them moist or else the roots will dry out...Look at it this way... If you gently squeeze your medium "Cube" water shouldn't run out but if you gently squeeze it with no run off and there is moisture on your thumb and pointer finger you're in the right % of happy medium....Easy easy water when they are 50% lighter then when they were after watering...Cubes don't retain water for long periods of time that's why you often see growers use a drip system with them or a flood to drain set-up because they are high maintenance and do require some skill because every single thing you give them goes straight to the roots there's no buffer like with soil.. If you give your plants 6.5 ph water then that's the run off with cubes and if they don't like 6.5 then you have to pay attention daily because there's no buffer like with soil if you give 6.5 in soil the run off might be 7.5 because of the ph in the soil already so you would have to go 5.5 ph to counter the soils ph if your plants are showing any signs of over feeding so testing run off water is a huge thing if you're not familiar with the type of soil that you're using but usually it has it on its package... Honestly just get yourself a ph meter, ph UP & DOWN and a syringe to measure out what ever nutrients you're using and cut the into half of what the recommended dosage is that the nutrients say.... But again you can get away with just RO and Distilled water for now or use diluted cal-mag as a base nutrient..... Do you plan on using a drip system or F2D on a bigger cube? Like an 8×8 10×10 or are you planting your current cube into soil? Fyi you can hand water cubes throughout the entire grow if that's what you choose to do you just have to get a bigger block and ph it over night to the current cubes ph and they'll work also....Hundreds of method's...lmk and I'll do my best to help. ✌I'll probably upload a few pictures of my current grow shortly not sure yet.
Check it out! The plants are doing pretty good i think. They are showing sex. I topped a couple of them and trimmed some bottom branches off that weren't going to be anything. 3 leaf stuff. No canopy leaves though. Am i right on this? Planet of the grapes.

Right on, They are looking really good! A lot of healthy growth...But yeah trimming lower fan leaves is a great way for inducing upwards directional growth for bud sites and obviously creates more light penetration...I suppose the only major draw back from removing the fan leaves in my experience is that the plant needs to recover which causes slow growth for about 4 or 5 days.... It's not very noticeable during the flowering stage but in the vegative and "Transitional" stage you'll notice that the vigorous growth that you were seeing daily will slow down for at least a week but I think they look great and healthy. Awesome job so far....I believe I told you that I have some "Cream Mandarin Autos" going and I removed many of the lower fan leaves due to the unexpected growth rate of this strain....First time growing this one and man it loves the light...I left for two days and when I came back the soil was basically dry and 3 canopy leaves were a little crispy....My first auto that didn't react to stripping in a negative way....Had it not begin flowering under 18-6 week 4 I would have thought it wasn't an auto.... But all of this is to say you're doing a great job and I'm looking forward to your updates.

I hadn't thought about this...i gave those plants like an EC of 2.4. Way to high! But they grew like crazy. And didn't show any signs of nutrient burn. The taco looking leaves maybe were just telling me to cut them off. They needed to grow up. I'm planning on draining my res this weekend and redoing the nutes so they are getting the right amount. Its exciting. And i will not expect much growth this week like you said. Thanks

I ordered 20 Ethos seeds from NASC and got 50. Three day shipping from Maine to AZ. 5 free seeds were in error as they sent me a 10 pack instead of a 5 like I ordered. It was the Crescendo that I got a 10 pack on!! 20 free pre-release M/F seeds, 5 additional fem seeds for free! I wish I had more room to grow and also that I was done with my current grow on day 1 of flower! Lol

I also have 60 other fem seeds. Guys, I think I have a seed hoarding problem! 20210507_143652.jpg

I want to grow them all, but I am hard pressed for room in my DWC which is where my QC grows happen. Only have 4 spots in that 4x4! I know I could augment it but when I consistently get roots like this I don't want to change up my system too much! I might make a RDWC but no more spots for plants. Below canopy is just two GDP's and two NYC Diesel's!

I have an outdoor garden that I just started too with two Maui Waui's in already but we have yet to reach our hot days here in the desert, so I am skeptical how well any of them will do. I have a shade cloth over them of course, but it still gets to be 100+ for 2-3 months. Our first forecasted day of 100F is next Thursday and it doesn't cool down until the end of August! I know I will get them to grow to harvest, but to what quality I wonder. I never let my tent get over 75F but we'll hit 110-115 at least several days if not for a few weeks depending on the year.

I'll definitely be popping my Ethos seeds for my DWC and will let you know which one's I go with! Only downside to the vineyard is the M/F so I might plant some OUTSIDE, make some clippings and hopefully get a female or two from the strain after the outside sexes.
