So, ignoring the issues with this plant why hasn't this Seedsman Northern Lights Auto began to flower yet? I'm almost in week 8 from it sprouting and no flowering. It's not a male from what I can tell.

Thanks!!!

Genetics is probably the reason.
Assume its vegging state is still adding growth, if so I suggest you clear out your space. Its not frequent but I've seen a couple of 15+ week NL autos..
Monsters, serious massive great monsters...
If its stopped growing, your call but maybe time to call it.
I did a RQS (f'k you RQS) NL auto and called it at week 7 only a few weeks ago. I was pissed off but would have been worse if it carried on and still produced nothing, best assumption was Ruderalis traits that should be recessive came to the fore..

So for you it'll comedown to growing still or not...!

Good luck

That's kinda what I was worried about. I had heard of NL's going long periods of veg. Got limited room and got some new seeds in. Might have to scrap it. Thanks a lot!!

If the veg stage IS still providing growth, I'd keep her and supercrop those tall colas the weight of return will outweigh a new seed: besides remember the flower period for autos is quicker too & seeds are small enough for corners of your space.

I'm growing Seedsman Northern Light Auto's as well. I'm on day 51 and they're getting really large (4 plants completely filling my 4x4). I came across the below link in my hunt for why mine are not flowering yet. From my research it appears their vegetative stage is significantly longer than advertised and what is expected with most auto flowering strains, though yield allegedly is commensurate with time. I'm not giving up on mine yet, too far invested. Good luck!

I just finished a Northern Lights Auto from Crop King Seeds and it took just over 2 months to start flowering. I would say at this point just be patient and it should work itself out.

I've got three northern lights fem autos at 26 days old, I have topped two of them and just leaving the other one to do her thing.IMG_20200531_210519.jpg

I was under the impression that autos aren’t supposed to be topped? Maybe I’m wrong, I’ve just never done it.

Yeah, I'd hang tight. Mine didn't start flowering until day 40 something.

Some people do top autos once. I've never done it though because autos get so bushy with just a little LST.
That’s all I’ve ever done is train. Now my photos, I top the hell outta of those girls.

Its a rumour most new growers hear of but it will work wonders..
Even a single topping can increase your plants structure, add vigour and impact positively your yield. But 1 or 2 outta ten plants don't get bigger etc.
The growth stops, and with a short life, a week to recover from a topping can hurt: hence the rumour 'never top autos'.
Personally I always top autos once, occasionally twice, rarely but happens even 3 times (if plants growth remains vigorous, I try to make a mainline shape while not stripping her back too much, simply because light will get down into her easier..
@BlissfulMatt so??? Are you gonna grow her?
Of course your keen to get a new one running but that 8/9 week veg period is a gift..!

Food for thought, I’ll keep that in mind.
