Way to alienate the one person trying to help you.

Word of advice. You are always going to hear things you don't like. If you can't accept that, your going to be running from reality for a long time.
I hear you, no big worries its the internet, who really cares. I tried to ask this guy nicely (that acted as if he was helping) to stop prying into my personal life but he would'nt leave it alone. Yep it pissed me off.

All stupidity aside, my small grow space is doing pretty dam good. In fact, the limited space has taught me much and may prove to be an advantage

I'm working with a metal safe/cabinet that has two chambers 17x17 50 inch height. I decided to leave the wall and start my first grow in one of the two chambers.

I'm using a Spiderfarmer SF-1000 Dimmable an AC Afinity 4 inch fan, and a carbon filter which I have'nt needed yet. The flower area of the Spider light is 2x2 which is perfect for my space.

My choice of strain is Nirvana Northern lights due to the ability to keep it low and bushy with low odor. I kept it in Veg for 9 weeks topping twice and bending the main stalk horizontal. I'm very impressed that the plant has 18 bud sites all at the same height to take advantage of my lighting. My plant is 12 inches tall and the buds are getting big ! This is my first grow, and I've made huge mistakes, but Northern Lights is a real trooper.

I'm feeding her Fox farm trio, SensiCal mag and filtered water. Tonight I just received Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz and Cha Ching. I might feed with ChaChing tonight, she seems very hungry!

Pics to come, and no idea how well this will turn out or how much it will produce, but if the buds get bigger is should be a decent harvest for a newbie. Not bad with under 100 watts of light and a first try?

For those wondering about odor, I've made it to day one of week 5 (flower) with no odor at a daytime temp of 72 degrees. The Spiderfarmer 1000 runs cool and is perfect. I'm expecting the smell to pick up (its picking up a bit now) but so far its been almost odorless....

But start by feeding your plant
Tonight is Cha-ching night, if those high P K numbers don't feed her, I don't know what will !

I'm finding its a fine line between nutrient burn and underfeeding. Maybe my PH is off, I have no way of testing the root zone but I'll keep feeding in the 6.5 PH range and figure that out next grow. Plastic pots and the aeration of the Fox Farm Ocean Forest has been a major problem for me. I cant flush or it completely drowns my plant. For some reason, it holds the water too long and my plant suffers badly.... I even added perlite, but the soil is holding too much water. Side note, I drilled holes in the side of my pot and it helped the roots breath a lot. I might also be root bound as my pot is under 3 galllons and my veg time was long.... My next grow will use Air Pots or Smart pots and I'm switching to Coast of Maine Platinum blend.

Sadly, my pre harvest flush may not happen. I don't want to risk drowning her at the end. I'm reading that the final flush may be a bit of a myth anyway. If my weed is a little harsh, thats OK> I'm a newbie !

Hope it all goes well. Unlucky for me it's roughly 95-98 degrees during the day and 75 at night here in my room, and a bit more in the tent. With this type of heat I'll be surprised if these survive much longer.

Not likely.

I didn't judge you. Just said you must have a terrible relationship with your wife if you have to even keep it hidden from her. Yes I read you wanted to keep it secret from your job. You don't smoke now but still need to keep it secret. Doesn't make sense unless you bring work into your house but do whatever you want.
Hey, lets bury the hatchet, your call. This is silly. This is a weed forum, I'm not here for your marriage counseling. You were digging a little too deep into my personal affairs and yes you pissed me off. I forgive you though.. OK? I cant be much nicer than that... I have my own reasons for keeping my grow private you don't need to worry about them.

You gotta admit its not a bad grow for a first try, that's a lot of bud getting a lot of light in a very small space...18 bud sites all at the same height in a 17x17 inch space, less than 100 watts of light. How big will they get in the next 3 weeks or so?

Pics to come...

Dam thats hot ! I can tell you this, I'm running a Spiderfarmer Sf-1000 at full blast in a very small space and it gives off almost no heat at all... Lights off are 69 degrees, lights on gets me up to 72 with my fan on low.

Harley advocates increasing aeration by poking around and under the plant with a bamboo skewer.Maybe gets you a little help,eh

Thanks ! I already used a chopsticks to get air/holes into the sides but didn't think about going up from the bottom. I'll try it on my next watering.

A few days into week 5. Its time to put the carbon filter on, she is starting to have that nice weed smell---nothing over powering, but with doors open I can smell her now.

I'm losing a lot of leaves and have a feeling I haven't been feeding enough. I'm not sure if I have a potassium deficiency causing burned tips or nutrient burn (or other deficiencies). She seems awfully hungry, any advice greatly appreciated ! If I get 1/4 oz of smoke on this I'll be happy, I've made horrible mistakes along the way and this is my first go... I hope I don't lose her !

I'm feeding with Fox farm trio. Sensi Calmag plus (with plain waterings), and just started using Beastie Bloomz which I'm hoping will take care of her appetite. I'll switch to Cha-Ching in a week.
