I know there are a few of you out there so lets share notes on settings and a results. Mine is getting delivered tomorrow so i will start contributing soon. The trend seems to be 165-200f for 90-120 seconds but not much info on pressure. Lets list some results here maybe follow a format of sorts?

Strain:
Humidity:
Weight, style, method:
Heat:
Time:
Gauge pressure:
Material pressure:
Yield %:

If i missed something add to it.

I'm looking to get a press soon, from what I understand, slow is the way to go, and learn what max pressure you can use to not burst. You want to let the bad flatten, then press more, slowly, and again, and again, until you get "the most" out of it.
Have you tried sift presses yet?

Just did 58 grams of double dipped strawberries trim

Upped temp to 207
Upped material pressure to 1100
Gauge pressure 2400
4 presses of 14+/- grams in 120 micron 14g bags
11 grams out
19%

Haven't tried sift yet. I do have a couple grams of dry ice hash i might try one of these days

Its funny, the NS site says 1000-1500 material pressure but i just watched a video of their guy doin it at 650 material pressure for similar time with nice yield numbers. At this point I'm just playing with trim. When it comes to the flower, i will probably try to dial it in more for quality and less yield.

Just did another 120g of DDS same temp and pressure as above. 6 x 14g bags with 20 g in each. Same 30 sec pre press then 2 minute squeeze at pressure. Didn't push a couple of the bags in far enough so dropped a little on yield. Came out with a little over 21g or 17.5%. Just about out of the trim of this so might do 2 more 14 gram bags of flower just to see if itals yields any better. I've 2 more 120 14 gram bags. Might do 2 with the DDS flower then 2 of the 90s to start the experiments.

Did a comparison run 15g of blueberries and orangs by useful seeds. This is older stuff but nOne bag in 90 micron, one bag in 120. Both pressed at 207 temp, 1100 material pressure, 2400 gauge pressure. 30 sec pre press then 2 minutes squeeze. Can you tell which is which. One yield was 12% and one was 13%20221020_234546.jpg

I don't have a nugsmasher xp, but here's my typical settings

Bags: 90 micron

Temps: 180-190

Pressure: 2 - 3 tons

Method: Bottle tek the bags. Slowly press the bag with material down into a puck thats about 1/4" thick and let it warm up on the plates for 1 minute. Slowly begin increasing pressure, about 1/2 ton every 30 seconds until final pressure is reached. For me that's usually around 2.5 - 3 tons. My total time pressing is 3-4 minutes. I stop once I don't see anymore significant flow

They both looked similar but the 90 is definitely better smoke

14 grams of trim bin powder from my last gmo x Chocolate diesel by @Useful Seeds with 37 micron bag.

pressed at 165f
600 material pressure
30 sec pre press
2 minute squeeze

2 grams out for a 14% return. The top of the bag opened so I lost a bit there but nice color on this one
