Hi, does anyone know how many 5 gallon cloth pots would be ideal on a 4x8 foot tray? I'm thinking 18 but maybe thats too much. And using the same size tray how many 5.5 inch square pots could/should I use in veg to supply the forementioned 5 gallon cloth pots on 4x8 foot trays. Thanks for any help!

Difficult to answer but from personal experience with a 7-8 week veg from seed I can fill that up with 2 plants in 2 5 gal fabric pots…..I have a 5x5 stuffed to the gills right now….8 week 3 day veg from seed 5.6 gal hard pot coco dtw and honestly the top 2 inches of the pot are showing so more like 4.5ish gal ….I’m week 2 and some change and she base filled it up 100% so honestly I’d get 2 plants in their and 4 way lst them for u weeks from seed and flip……blue dream from ilgm or any haze cut should do the trick

Really I'm trying to just figure out how many veg plants I need to fill a flower tray that is 4ft x 8 ft. I'm limited on veg space but need to crop every 2 weeks which means a lot of littles.

If you have 8 to 10 you woukd still be cropping very close to every 2 to 3 weeks. Just add 2 plants on the end and remove 2 off the other end.

Thats what I'm thinking also. Just need to top them a couple of times in veg.
I'm just on the floor of the room but I have little tape saying I'm "within a 4*8" your milage may very.

I really like 12 plants tbh (I do run 3 lights over a 4*8) but I'm able to offset every other row with one extra plant so I can do 15 max; pretty crowded probably not a 4*8. I also use 10 gallons tall which end up being 5-8 gallons depending on the plant and what it wants.

so 12 of you want to go hard, 8 for a "normal", maybe 1-4 with a scrog, 32-128 with a sog.

I wouldn't do a screen if you aren't harvesting all at once. I prefer to use binder clips to make them wide in the first 2 weeks of flower, defolate the 3rd tie them up on the 3rd to.
