Nutrient order and flush

hello fellow botanical enthusiasts first of all I’d like to say hello and I am new here at rollitup..

I have a few gardens under my belt all very basic with the odd upgrade here and there. I have always used guanokalong or bio bizz now I am using ionic coco reason for switch is to see the difference with my skills now my questions are: is the correct order for mixing the tank like this 1silicone
2calmag
3additives
4grow
5ph test
6ec test
7dilute or add for desired ec

Same for flower although adding pk boost at stage 5

For flushing on a 10 week strain would it be beneficial to gradually bring the ec down every two to three days before the initial flush and would flushing agents be recommended

Flushing in itself is pure junk and the use of “flushing agents” is an even bigger scam designed to take more of your money. Simply feed correctly throughout the life of the plant reduce the feed at the last two weeks and dry properly and you’ll be golden.

The reason I ask is that I have always flushed with phd water and the last run smelled like hay never has that happened to me I was told that because I never brought the feed down and never used a flushing agent to get rid the build up the plant was huge. Uploaded a pic of the plant at 6eeeks just before flush.. from my first question is the order of filling the tank correct I a have pump and heater ec pen ph pen everything just need to make sure these bottles are going in the correct order

Flushing agents are a complete waste of money. And flushing does not flush nutrients out of the plant.

Sounds like overfeeding issue and not drying properly. If you dry too fast and don't let chlorophyll break down it will smell like hay. If you pull too early you'll end up with hay. Post a better picture in regular light so we can see what the plant actually looks like.

correct but it flushes the nutrients out of the medium so there not available to the plant. The the plant will use up more stored nutrients at the finish giving it a better taste at the end.

Thanks for the reply I was told that adding the grow/flower last to tank as the cal mag is the carrier an there for should be place second to the silicone..that pic was from two gardens ago i lost 30 due to allowing someone new into my circle...I now have 24 running 14 Indy banana jones from seed and 10 clones (4 space junkie and 6 banana caked) all bred from inflorescences of Scotland please check this mans work on Instagram @inflorecencesofscotland he is currently in the process of being sponsored by adjusta wings and came 5th in his first comp which I think is a win in itself for the space junkie .I come here for more knowledge and learn different techniques which I hope to use to benefit my process of learning

I am not convinced of this stored nutes theory. Where are they stored and why would plants require such storage?
Sounds like you believe the nutes are stored in the buds as a self defense to flushing?

maybe stored was not needed in my post so read it again and delete the stored word. But I do believe that the plant takes in more of certain elements at times and stores it in the plant, its in there, nutrient toxicity comes to mind. And maybe nutrient toxicity is the wrong thing compared to just storing nutrients like your cupboards at home, but its in there and flushing at the end will give a better taste imo.

I was replying to the other guy about the need for flushing agents which are not needed but helps if you really want to get some of the nutrients out of the medium which makes it not available to the plant. I guess if he said

and after reading this over no the plant doesnt "store" nutrients I suppose.

i dont know what you mean by the calmag is the carrier. You asked about the correct order and I replied on the order I use which I think is the correct order. could be wrong could be right. Most important thing is to let it get mixed in there well with the water before you add another item.

I was told that the calmag helps carry the nutrients more smoothly through the plant and should use all the way through flower at .5ml/L also the silicone at 5 ml/L And cut both out at start of week 5 of flower?

I have prepared a batch of food at 300ppm for the babies was planning on sticking with this amount for 21 days then transplant from 6inch pots to 1 gals at a ppm of 600 then 21 days transplant upto 3 gals with 1200ppm for 21days if plant looks like it’s taking it then 5 gals for flowering increasing ppm to 1600 for 3weeks increasing by 200 every week until week7 then I will bring the ppm down by 400 every feed until flush (10/11week strain) no agent will be used

It's the root mass that holds the nutes, and there is no way your gonna flush out those chemicals that have been accumulating for weeks, in a couple of flushes

300/500/750/1000/1200 then lower it down by 250/300 every feed might be an option if you do it like that. i usually lower stuff down by the week and not an individual feed.

I think 2ml per gallon on the calmg is adequate amount for a maintenance application.

Under what light?? Big numbers like that you need a big light.

Recommend you add a microbe and humic acid product to the lineup.

Only good for high temp/high stress enviroments
If that's your environment, use it but otherwise, it's a waste of money.

Thought the roots stored carbohydrates which I dont think is the same as "nutes". thats why I didnt say anything like that, already got my balls busted.

helps make spidermites not like your plants too. I use it about 2 ml a gal from big veg towards the end of flower.

The entire plant is a storage mechanism.
The roots are predominant for uptake of water/nutes, but the leaves make it complete with their ability to breath/collect/store energy.
You will see this after a few grows, how the fan leaves and smaller leaves around the bud sites wither and die after giving up all their energy, to provide you with all that beautiful bud.
I don't even bother to check tric's anymore, all I do is look at the leaves and they tell me when the plant is done.

They "store" nothing.
Simply an uptake mechanism.
The "Fan Leaf" is the only real storage part of a plant, which will hold nutes/water until the next rainfall, or whatever.
