I've taken a chance on 'Rusty Haze' by Kingdom Organic Seeds. We'll see how it turns out.

That's not a true Haze. A true Haze is 100% sativa. That's a hybrid. They can call it Haze but that doesn't make it so.
If you want a real Haze ACE Seeds has Oldtimers Haze. There is a purple pheno. They also have a Purple Honduras Haze. Both of these are 100% sativa. Be prepared for up to 20+ weeks. I've looked at many of the so called Purple Haze's being sold and they're all hybrids and not a true Haze.
Finding the purple pheno in ACE's Oldtimers Haze would be the best bet for anyone wanting the real thing and not some hybrid.

Growing it right now, smelling the ladies just a moment ago. The smell is unmistakable and I used to get a lot of the 'new york haze' stuff in the north east in the early 2000's.

Not much to look at yet, here's a pic of 2 Uptown Brown ladies from a few days/week ago. I have to say I trust that Top Dawg also knows what the NYC piff is, and while this is basically an F1 cross with another strain, the piff terps are there, and dominating the smells on every plant I've seen so far. There's still plenty of time left for it to prove me wrong I suppose, I just hope to find one with the overwhelming smell and flavor of the original.

Thanks. I am thinking that the version of haze that I'm looking for is most likely a hybrid. I've considered trying Mr Nice Afghan Haze, Sensi Seeds NL5xHaze, and others, but based on photos and descriptions, none seem to really match the Piff NYC haze. This particular strain had a cerebral effect with energy, focus and relaxation that put me on my A-game on the basketball court. Over the years, people offered various hazes, but not all created equal. Some were too potent like the nevilles and amnesia.

I wish I could give you some feedback. Unfortunately my first grow of Oldtimers haze ended with the first bug incident I had had for years. I probably went too far but I ripped up OTH plants I had been growing for around six months. Looking back I think I might have been a little hasty but I don't have bugs now so I think I did the right thing and trashed and cleaned.
OTH is probably not what you want to grow. It's going to take at least 16 weeks and more likely 18 or more to finish. There is a reason hybrids have been made crossing it with Indica to shorten the flower time.

Not only that, its one of the *best*smells that cannabis produces, and yet, its not in ANY dispensary, and most people who havent been around the north east have never even smelled it. Bro they don't know what their missing.

Again, Uptown Brown is what you're looking for. There is also Bodhi's Bandaid haze, or you can go to one of the east coast cities and ask around. The strain you're looking for is very protected, and not much is known about it. I don't think you're going to find it anywhere else.

Thanks again. Yes, with 16+ weeks I figure the longer flowering times are significant. Not sure what the flowering time on the Piff was/is. The Bangi Haze is not what I seek. Once again allow me to reiterate: I am looking for the elusive 'Dat Piff!' You hear me?! We used to blaze and then ball-up on the courts!
On an Ace seeds note: I have sown Ace's Zamaldelica outdoors in the Caribbean and it was a highly rated smoke by all who got to sample her.

The piff is actual the extreme haze pheno found in the original f1 nl5hz. The dominicans admitted this already way back.

sensi northern light haze 5 was one of the first named strains i ever tried. Still want to run it and see if its like i remember.
AK from the late 90's is in the same place in my memory banks. Named strains were few and far between back then.... at least where i was

Youl be lucky if you can find it..cuz I dont belive thers many seeds left..what your looking for is the original seeds that wer made by nevil way way back..and the pheno you want from these is the one that almost mirrors haze-c but in a female form...look through the ones that can go from 120 all the way to 160 days in flower youl find those there.

This was a topic in my sourD thread. This strain is DAMN WELL KNOWN but no one knows shit about it. Rofl, i love it. I as well had to sacrifice my 1st born to get my hands on the infamous uptown brown.
