Hey Letstrip

I remember reading your thread all those years ago haha. This year I am growing dr krippling incredible bulk, grandmommy purple, Bruce banner #3, blue gelato 41, dos si dos 33, Mimosa x orange punch, caramelo early version. All plants are photoperiod and all are mothers that will be cloned and put out bush. It is an experiment to see what will thrive best in my climate and I will keep clones of my favorites to create feminized seeds for the next year.
You are more than welcome to document your grow here.

Nice selection you've got going there. Very interested to see how the grandmommy purple comes out. I'll be doing Dos Di Dos #33, LSD, Berry OG kush photoperiods from seed and Purple punch, and gorilla glue autos. Where are you based approximately? I'm in the lower north island so it should be interesting comparing how our do si dos plants go in terms of latitude. I've heard they're quite resistant to mold etc and yeild well outdoors with a strong smoke so looking forward to it. Haven't been able to find many outdoor journals for it.

All of this depends if my seeds from the attitude seed bank show up  Otherwise ill be stuck with a few red mandarine seeds that i have.

It took one re send and 60 days of waiting for mine from herbies. I'm based in the sunny bay of Plenty but go deep bush to avoid issues. The problem I've been having is late finishing strains that are never ready before the rain starts to set in. What time do you normally plant I've found anything before September tends to flower for a few weeks then reveg if grown from seed.

Wow, what a nightmare.... its really a hassle mate. I know what you mean, I have the same issue down here so finding a couple of strains that a resistant to mold is essential. The LSD I did all those years ago was by far the best for mold resistance, that thing was bulletproof so that's why I'm doing one again as a fallback rather than risking all my work! Usually between mid-October to the start of November. Have never gone earlier, not sure how a re-veg would affect it?

Hello fellow kiwis ill be joining you in your quest to grow some mean skunky outdoors. Will try and post pictures when i can though not the best at documenting ill be going from seed and not sure when i should start putting them down any pointers would be great!!

Welcome to the thread! What strains have you got? Generally, the same rules apply to regular gardening. Anytime after labor weekend near the end of October - 1st of November or anytime after is when people plant out. The reason for this is A. It usually indicates the last chance of a frost and B. anytime before that and you risk the plant flowering then re-vegging.

Bit of a gamble then! Its possible to actually grow really dank stuff outdoors, its all in the genes. Nevertheless, will be interesting to see what your seeds do. Definitely, mid October at the least, if you're in a place that doesn't get too many frosts then you'll be right

Oh hey, dude, was wondering where you'd gotten to... It's been a hot minute Can't wait to do it again, still rocking the landrace strains?

Na gave it all up 5-6years ago and live down the deep south now, probs won't bother trying outdoors down here don't get a hell of a lot of sun! If my seeds turn up might just do 1 or 2 inside.

I used to do outdoors in BOP. Would germinate seeds start of September and would throw them outside after the first few sets of leaves, they wouldn't flower on me if you put them outside quick to acclimatize. With clones I wouldn't put em out until mid-late November otherwise they'd flower on me early.

Nice, what have your ordered? You might get away with an indica or autos down there but likely too cold as you said. That's a hell of a contrast to the BOP

Yea its a gamble but i am comfortable with it. I dont want to spend alot on seeds until i know i can grow really nice outdoors which has yet to be seen but im getting better slowly. (:
