I've been trying to figure out the maze of the OMMP. I JUST need to know now how to find a grower or should I just put the other person in my home?

I am so confused by this "CATCH 22" that Oregon has put into place... Alice in Wonderland anyone?

Any help will be very appreciated.

at the thcf clinics theri is always a post board that has a bunch of sheets of growers looking for patients to grow for and it will say what they can provide and when and a phone number so you can call.

my dad is looking for a patient in southern oregon.

Hi, there! First off, do you have a card yet? If you do, and do not have a grower, try going to MAMA or one of the other clinics, and attend a social event. It can be a great way to meet other growers, etc, to network. Find someone you trust, and make sure they can provide the amount and quality of medicine that you need.

If you are having trouble finding someone, you can always go to Cannabliss, at 1917 SE 7th Ave, Portland. They have a farmers market there that you can donate to help them pay for production costs, and you can pick out some good cannabis.

It is hard to find the perfect person. Usually growers that have room for more cards will be glad to grow for you, just make sure they can be trusted to provide what you need. Good luck. Add me as a friend, that way you can hit me up with any questions.

I am also looking for a grower to provide me with medication in the Portland area, pm me if anyone is looking to pick up another patient soon!

Hello, I'm new here and just got my "safety packet" before I mail in my forms for my OMMP card I need to sign a grower. Some say to sign it myself BUT that would only put a "band-aid" on the problem. Eventually I will need someone legit to sign on causing me to do this anyway again. If anyone has any info on where and how o find a good honest grower it would be greatly appreciated.

No guarantees, but go to MAMA's website and go to their next social, after you get your forms official. Then you can get a care package perhaps, and talk to several growers that may be there. Be very selective, and if someone gives you a bad feeling, move on. Find someone you feel good about, and that has good experience. Someone that has enough bud to give you a little right off the bat is usually a good sign that they grow enough meds to help you out, and you can try their quality. This is an agreement between you and the grower, so go in knowing how much you need as a patient, per month.

try budbook.org to find a grower.

like haz says, be selective. i can't tell you how many shitty stories i have heard about growers. which is why i never take on patients. i don't ever want to be "that guy"

Get in touch with one of the non profit resource centers like OGF. They even have contracts some use and I know lots of growers who ask for no reimbursments from patients. Good luck looking for growers and welcome to ommp:clap:

just do small interviews, i interviewed about 40 or more growers over the phone and then the ones who most fit my needs i met with in person. i listened to what they offered and only a few seemed like good compassionate growers, i found one that supplies free meds at all times and hash.
ive never heard of legal contracts for MMJ but if theri is i would get one with who ever your grower is. i just dont see the courts making some one pay or reimburse weed in a court house.

After meeting you, you seem to be too nice of a person to be "that guy"

i would never have a grower for me and this is why,, the patiant can elect a grower at any time. it is up to the patiant to tell the curent grower he, she is changing grower.. the state will not notify the curent grower either. so in sort the patiant could have a hand full of grower growing for him and only one of them being legal to do so.. im not saying your going to do that i just want growers growing for some one else to be careful..

When I told someone I didn't want to grow for them anymore, they eventually turned in a grower change form and I got a letter from the state 2 months later. Not sure if this was unusual, but I did eventually get notified.

I am doubting that the OP is still needing help. This thread was dead until a canadian grower offered to grow for him, which is not an OMMP possibility, legally at least.
