Looking for advise on going from a tent to a open room mostly concerned about keeping smell out of rest of the house

I use my ensuite bathroom, I leave the extractor fan on 24/7 and the house doesn't smell. If I leave the bathroom door and my bedroom door open the place smells lovely lol but closed doors and I've no problems.

Two options for odor management in an open room. The easiest is to just put a fan on a carbon filter somewhere. You can even just set it up on the ground but you’ll probably have to wash the pre filter pretty regularly. I actually use that setup in my living room to manage the smell of having 4 cats in a 2 bedroom duplex you can also hang a fan/filter and duct it out somehow. I’m in tents, but have mine exhaust through my dryer hookup.

I’ve seen that option but see I live in prohibition state on top of neighbors are quite close so I don’t think ducting outdoors is a options I thought about completely sealing room which is gonna happen regardless then my hvac unit is right outside of room has its own little closet so I though of cutting hole into that since it connects to my room and then venting out into there room is probably a 8x8 but I have 2 6in in-line fans with carbon filters for my 8x4 tent honestly does just setting them in the room with filter on bottom and fan on top pulling air in really actually scrub room that hood where you won’t smell anything outside or in ? Just trying to be safe and tread carefully

Use a carbon filter at start of extraction, go out a roof vent. Any smell that's left should be above everybody's head.

I definitely agree with using a carbon filter but im doubtful the fact it’s released above would have any bearing on the detect ability of said odor. Odors in concentration will travel in all directions. If you grow on the third floor and concentration is enough the basement will smell it and vice versa

Yes but vent traps in houses you shouldn’t be smelling any gasses unless p trap is dry and sewer gasses are coming up from below and or got a clog then you do smell but I’m just trying to figure out you really think just using a carbon filter in open room will actually rid all smell from entering or exiting the house? And how big of a carbon filter Do you use

Better than one would think. I've been running that way going on 3 years now. You only smell my grow if I leave the door open for any length of time.
8x10 (basically sealed) room with a single 6' fan and 30" filter. Mine is hung from the ceiling though, to keep it outta the way. I can't even smell the plants in the room unless I'm touching them. I tried not running it for one grow. One.
The exhaust from most people's tents goes right into the room it sits in.

I have the ac infinity t4, and carbon filter. I extract air into my attic, with no smell. I used to exhaust out the roof vent, but I find it to not be necessary as long as I use the carbon filter. I use tents in my growroom though, but you could stand anywhere in my house, growroom included, and not know I was growing by smell alone.

Air exchanges through those vents but smell goes whereever outside im sure wind currents play in but if you filled the attic with manure would you not smell it or a stink bomb on the roof?

I think the stink pipe exits roof though, but again depending on wind currents, it could still smell, but that's why I use a carbon filter at the start of the extraction.

What all do y’all use to make sure the room is completely sealed ? Doors windows etc only one window is in room mind you I don’t have a attic or basement I live in a new trailer and neighbors are literally 16 ft away from house give or take on both sides
