Is this strain still around?
This was some of first weed I had back in 2000 and it was absolutely classic, tasted like the soda.

California orange x blueberry I believe.

I saw that canadianhempco has it and another site called holi moli but I’m not sure if these sites are legit.

There IS a strain called Orange Crush going around....but its not the same thing.

I too had the early 2000s orange crush for a little while and to this day its one of my boys favorite all-time smokes.

If youre looking for something similar, im currently in early flowering on a Mz Jill Genetics Jilly Bean F2....ive never smoked Jilly Bean, but im getting an insanely sweet orange candy smell off of her....i can already tell its a winner.

I gave up looking
Let me know if you find it, I might just remake this myself with a CSI Cali O s1 x sagarmatha blueberry
Apparently the BC growers association that originally made the Orange crush used a blueberry from BCSC which apparently was from some sagarmatha seeds which sagarmatha blueberry apparently has some old school skunk in it.

Weird I posted about orange crush from humboldt last week on the other site

I used to get a good amount of it it’s not like tangie orange more like a orange creamsicle.. unique flavor but it’s not standing up to todays lines nice high mellow with some up to it

i only got packs for a year or two on and off in rotation like every 3 months I would pass on it a lot it was nothing compared to the headband or bubba

Are you referring to the strain Orange Creamsicle?
..that’s an orange crush cross.

The Orange Crush I remember had medium sized somewhat dense indica nugs covered in orange hairs
Like this pic from the orange crush leafly page:

very skunky AND sweet, Citrusy/orange/earthy/skunk

My orange cookies x chocolate diesel by Useful matches this very closely- sounds like the skunky is a key component?

Yea skunky although it had that classic hashy sweet indica flavor going on like really most weed from that era, and the look, the buds COVERED in orange hairs and with citrus/orange flavor too.

I think at some point strains like that were less favored for lack of “bag appeal” compared to the diesels or whatever which were slightly more frosty and green vs the orange crush which was literally ORANGE haha

My brother and I are originally from California. When I asked him what seeds he wanted me to order for him, he said Orange Crush. He probably smoked this in the 80’s. Anyway I told him I couldn’t find the seeds online. It will be interesting to see how yours come out.

The Cali-O was around in the 80s but the OC I think was developed sometime in the mid-late 90s. I only remember it from the year 2000 or maybe 2001 but I wasn’t smokin in the 90s and in early 2000s I never paid much attention to strain names but a lot of weed back then had that covered-in-orange hairs look.

TBH I’m not sure if the phenos I’m working with are anything close to what BCSC was working with in the 90’s but we’ll see..
I’m managing my expectations tho since It’s a bit of a pollen chuck haha

Riot Seeds now has what they call Orange Crush version 2.0, “Mystery Orange x Blue Bonnet”
I’m not sure if they’ve always had that and I just missed it or if it’s new but either way they’re asking 250 and I’d love to try it but right now I’m not that rich haha
