After 4 summers of growing different genetics, I'm still looking for that mythical, sativa dominant strain that finishes by the end of Sept. Your strategy of growing autos outdoors would probably do it, but with our 4-plant rec limit, I'm reluctant to give up the yield I get from photos. I'm aware that with enough expertise autos have been improved to the point that they can produce pretty well, so I'll give them a try at some point, but just an emotional attachment to photos to get over.

How do you do with super autos? If I recall correctly, you've grown Amnesia Hash Plant from OGS outdoors. How did that go? Anyone tried Lebanese Hash Plant here in the Valley?
I'm in the same more or less situation, I can't have so much plants at same time (I do only outdoor), there was very few autos than can give me a nice yield, and much more hard if we are talking about autos with more than 90 days cicle, It was fairly close with moby dick xxl from Dinafem, and some giant orange sherbert from xtreme seeds, wich was nice in the yield department but a bit more stoned high than mu liking, who knows man, I see ppl doing monster autos close to 200 or 300 gr, but I don't think is feasible if not indoor in hydro setup

Peace

Everything is way late and weird with my little PDX patch, but happy for the color. Always envied the purples and reds, never had it because I took earlier in what were typical weather patterns. Letting these go as long as I can PXL_20211009_183940126.jpg

You don’t do a pre-trim before hanging?
I clip off all the fan leaves the give a light hair cut. Makes that final trim so much easier.
First time not doing that. Friend suggested that a slower dry will make for a better cure and leaving the fans on for a bit allows for that, least that's what I was told.

I trim once at harvest, dry, and jar. I hate trimming so when I do I want to be done with it. None of this going back and trimming twice stuff. I did that one time and I won't do it again.

That's just me and there is nothing wrong with dry trimming. I just find it easier and faster to wet trim.

Did I mention that I hate trimming? Trimming has to be the absolute worst aspect of the entire process.

I remember back in the 70's a friend and I would go around the neighborhood with a lawnmower knocking on doors to mow peoples lawns for a couple dollars. Sometimes I wish there would be knock on my door and some kid saying "Hey mister, I'll trim your weed for a few dollars".

Fans will dry your pot quicker, not slower

I've been experimenting with this for the last couple of years and am now convinced that a slower drying process results in a better final product

Well I thought I was done for the year, but my friend brought me a plant from the place he's been working at that they were going to throw out because another employee screwed up on the light timing (it was grown indoors) and it re-vegged a bit. It's G33 and stinks to high heaven- the buds are purpling from the cold nights and are beautiful
I'll try to post a pic tomorrow

But air circulation will help prevent mold won't it? The fans I have going aren't blowing directly on the flowers but they are moving the air inside the tent. I've also got my 4 inch inline fan running with a carbon filter. In the room I've set my dehumidifier 55 percent as well.

How are everyone's outdoor ladies doing? A few of mine were late to flower/take longer to finish so I am still waiting on them. Planning on chopping all but one down Tuesday night before the rain comes back.

The one I am not chopping Tuesday is my Golden Pineapple. I love GP, the effect, the taste, the smell are all amazing...but I hate the lengthy flowering period that comes with growing sativas. Hoping mine will finish by November/mid-November, weather permitting.

Will post pics later today

I am new to the site but, I am very grateful to see there is an Oregon section. I am in the Portland area. Best of luck to you all!
