Hey all,
It's been a while, three years to be exact, that I haven't touched, grew or spoke about weed. Nothing related to legal issues at all, I just stepped up my game and moved to another country for a higher education in Audio Engineering. The country I moved to is The Netherlands and now after having completed my studies and opened up my own business/recording studio, I am ready to get back at my favorite hobby "Growing Canna".
So initially I was planning on growing 2 Super Critical Autos and 2 Big Bang Autos. The big bangs turned out to be of shit genetics so I moved on to replace them with one more super critical auto and one critical+ (Follow the updates in red to see why)
The grow is taking place on my small terrace. This is my first experience growing in a Northern European climate, so I am not sure what to expect. I will be using this thread as a journal to see what works and what doesn't.
Below are some of the past updates:
[28/06/17] Received the seeds:
-Package looks fire
-Can't wait for the weather to get a bit better to start the germination process.
[30/06/17] Started the germination process:
-Decided to go with 3 seeds. Two Big Bangs and one Super Critical
[03/07/17] Seeds dropped in pots:
-One Big Bang and the Super Critical rooted.
-Planted both seeds into pots using 'Palgron Growth Mix'
-Still waiting on the last Big Bang to pop roots.
[05/07/17] Seedling emerges:
-The Super Critical Auto just emerged from the ground.
-The Big Bang Auto #1 is still under the soil and hasn't emerged
-Big Bang Auto #2 still hasn't germinated. I will drop this one.
[05/07/17] New seeds to germinate:
-Started germinating 2 new Super Critical Auto's in the place of B.B Auto #2.
Note of the day: Seeing as the B.B Auto #1 is still under the soil and B.B Auto #2 still hasn't germinated after 6 days, it is safe to say that this strain will not give me good results.
We are now working with 3x Super Critical (GHS) & 1x Big Bang Auto (GHS)
[06/07/17] Big Bang Auto emerged:
-The Big Bang auto finally emerged from the soil, yet it still hasn't flapped open its cotyledons.
[07/07/17] Super Critical seeds germinated:
-After barely two days of germination, both super critical autos popped very long roots and have been transplanted into seedling pots.
Note of the day: Looks like the Super Critical Auto strain is a winner versus the Big Bang Auto strain.
[08/07/17] Super Critical autos emerged:
-Super Critical Auto #2 & #3 emerged from the ground.
[08/07/17] Seedlings update:
-The S.C Autos seem to be of very strong genetics. All 3 seeds germinated with no issues and successfully emerged from the soil in a short period of time.
-The B.B Auto seems to be of very SHIT genetics.
Note of the day: First of all, when I started the grow I had two B.B Autos in the germination process. Only one of the two popped with short roots compared to the S.C seeds. After planting it in its pot, it took around 3 days to emerge from the soil. And even then, the seedling has not grown one bit since then and looks mutilated.
[08/07/17] Ripping time:
-Cannot handle to live with this B.B Auto not making any improvements. Time to rip it off
[08/07/17] Started the germination process of the Critical+:
-I am replacing the B.B Auto with a Critical+ from Dinafem.
-I know it's late for a photo-period but still worth a try.
