Perpetual Auto growing "BLEACHER" style

I have always had some sort of perpetual grow in one form or the other. I grow in a 6x6x6 room with a 600hps 24/7 in dirt. Plants have always been in different stages and really disorganized. Some were finishing. Some didn't get enough light. And there are always some on an upside down bucket or a wooden crate or a chair. Or a crate on a crate. Whatever I had to do to get the smaller plants up near the light.

And or course all of these needed to be watered. I did what I could to group them together.

These are some old pics of crap grows and disorganization. You get the idea.

Time to organize. I've been thinking (for 8 months now) of a simple way to keep the canopy even from week old plants to ready to harvest plants on a constant basis without ever moving the light or using chairs and crates. I grabbed a few things from around the property and threw this together.

I know it's nothing new but I've never seen it so I am the "OG Bleacher Grower".

Here it is in my 6x6x6' room. Overall dimensions are ~40"x40". I made the "planter boxes" from some leftover 2"x8" for the bottoms and 2"x6" on the sides. Double lined it with plastic that I already had. Then just stapled it to the outsides with the good ole staple gun.

Now the whole idea is to keep all the canopies even. From 1 week olds to ready to harvest plants.

Top tier for the babies
Mid tier for veg/beginning flower
Lower tier for Flowering and finishing

Here it is filled up. I designed this for 2 gallon pots (8" across) and made each tier hold 4 plants. So when the Lower Tier plants are ready for harvest, everybody moves down and new plants are started on top.

This should conservatively produce 4 ounces every ~3 weeks. Depending on your growing ability and strain, harvests can easily hit 6-7 ozs or more.

I just finished stage one of this project today.

Stage two will be manual watering from a single source.

Stage three will be drainage.

How is the quality of autos?
These days I can not tell the difference between autos and photos. So to answer your question-

Genetics
Temp / Humidity
Correct nutes
Correct light
Correct light schedule
No bugs

If you have all the above, whether it’s a photo or an auto, you will have great quality bud.

The real answer is I have a few plants I constantly run that I would put up against any photo and nobody would know. LOL

Some photos are not ideal. Some autos are not ideal.

Hey @HighLowGrow , old thread, but I'm wondering if you've continued the bleacher style perpetual grow? If so, any modifications? If you're not still growing this way, why not?

I'm thinking about doing a mini version of this in a 2x4, with either three plants in 3 gallon or 6 plants in 1 gallon pots. My goals are modest, would be hoping (after 90 days) to be harvesting about 2 ounces per month. Do you think that a reasonable goal?
