Pipe weed vs Joint weed

I wanted the best (opinion) weed my brain knew. I grew it, got the quantity I wanted but the quality wasn't there.

It does get me lit but only burns clean in a pipe. In joints, it doesn't completely combust so the joints canoe, get really gummy an the ash is black.

The flavors are there and they are what I remember but the weed itself isn't.... isn't good.

I can't fix a cured weed so what did I do wrong so I don't do it again.

So my ambient temperature low for the last while was 10°C(50°F). That means the soil/root zone probably got to 12 or 13 (53-55) so I probably sent the plant into shock

Tell me more please. Floor temps would have been an issue I hadn't considered.
Just a reference to drying and curing, making fun of Bob Cajun still .

Biggest factor I have found in quality is the amount of time you take to dry it. I have stuff I dried quick or just left out because I was done trimming and it’s not comparable to the stuff I hung for 3 plus weeks in a controlled enviro to dry. I won’t do it any other way now. I don’t flush, last harvest was at 1-1.2ec.

Could be your papers. Imo some burn cleaner than others.
For sure they do, stand a few different empty papers on end in a V, light them up and see what each leaves behind. Those mint green zig zag organic papers, leave little to nothing behind, actually pretty cool. Raw blacks burn clean too but the glue leaves more behind then the zig zag in my independent “stuff I do high” testing :eyesmoke:

Are you grinding it?
I ground some for the fresh dried left over fluff joint, it was dried but uncured, still burned black and stupid amounts of resin gathered on the paper.

I used scissors for the 12 day cured bud and ended up with the same issue. A shit ton of black incomplete combustion ash(black ash that everyone hates) and the paper was soaked to dripping with resin an inch into the joint.

I've always always been a no flush guy. Science says flushing is pointless. I'm just left with a feeling that flushing may have helped in this instance.

Since I can't flush the weed that's curing, I'll have to try on another plant.

It's just so much resin off one joint. A sickeningly thick, great tasting smoke.

Taste is on point, the high is there in a pipe but only partially there in a joint. Relighting the joint is mandatory because the resin makes it go out and I don't hoot fast enough to keep it lit.

Sounds dry, a 62 pack should help keep that resin burning with the plant. Maybe your issue is the weeds too dank and you need to roll it tighter. Tough to say, better send me some and I will find a remedy for you :weed:

Let it dry some before you roll it.

What’s the weed at when it’s sealed up? The RH.. you say cured not cured, I don’t cure so I’m assuming it’s dry and ready to cure, store.

My best guess at sealed RH in the jars is.....*shrugs*.

I don't have any RH packs or a humidistat that would fit in the jar.

Dried for a week (stems snapped properly) then in to 56oz Mason Jars. Burped twice a day for 2 weeks for 10 minutes each, now once a day. (lightly shaken every burping)
