Plant growth speed

Do different strains of marijuana grow at different speeds?
So say one plant has a load of fan leaves and a decent height at 3 week, and another has not as many and smaller in size, but has been growing for the same amount of time, is that normal? I'm assuming it's normal but need more experienced advice on the matter.

Not only can different strains grow radically differently, different phenotypes of the same strain will as well.

This is three weeks into the leaf stage young veg, and thought well it is growing just I've seen videos where some are alot bigger and thought I was doing something wrong
Imo it looks like a healthy seedling just about into the veg stage. I assume you mean 3 weeks after it sprouted it's first set of true leaves? Did you have it in that pot the whole time? It's a rather big pot if it has been in there since seedling, hard to water at first just right around the plant. Can stunt them a little bit as the roots fill out. What is your medium etc?
It does look healthy to me like I said, and now that it is finally filling out in the pot a bit, you may notice it start to grow faster and drink a bit more.

These are 3 weeks from sprout and at this stage I consider them at the end of their "seedling" stage. A lot of times when you see people post online about 3 weeks into veg plants, that is three weeks from a rooted clone. When you grow from seed you really have a couple weeks to start with to get them to the point where they really start growing. The seedling stage.

Now the following are the same plants about 3 weeks later post transplant or about 3 weeks solidly into the vegetative cycle.

They have some browned tips on a few of them, that is because I was out of town and it was the first time it got cold and the heater was blowing too close directly on them.

All plants aren't equal though, not all strains, or even all phenotypes and of course not all growers, most here can give you better advice than I.

Yes mate 3 weeks from the first set of leaves, and I use Coco coir, with perlite, and no mate I used a propagator with little pots, but they started to touch the top of the propagator so incase of damage I moved them into these pots now, I wanted smaller pots but due to this pandemic thing, we have been on lockdown and loads of places shut, so I couldn't leave are go get any smaller, so I made do with what I have, they do get watered equally, so basically I use a spray bottle and go round in circles round the plant, so it they get an even distribution of water

Well the pics I posted above were 3 weeks from seed, so it isn't that far off anyways. I would expect them to grow a lot over the next couple weeks after a bigger home.

I have never grown in coco, only outdoors and a couple times in soil indoors honestly, but it looks healthy. It's hard to be patient, but I would be surprised if it doesn't take to it's new home and show some more rapid growth soon. Look at the difference in the second pic I posted and that is just 3 weeks apart. I have been LST'ing to get more tops so that is why they are bushy and not so tall. The strain I am growing is pretty heavy Sativa, so I am trying to keep them a bit down before they explode upwards.

They is a big difference and I did think to mysel, I wonder if now that it is starting to grow proper fan leaves if it will shoot up quicker, and I have noticed over the last week it has gotten about and inch and half so taller with quite quick leaf growth, but the ones I'm growing only get to a meter are so but are supposed to produce a big yield, but because I'm new to it all I'm still learning as I go, I do nothing but research everything and get tips from you more experienced guys,

Yes they are all different. Here is my latest grow at three weeks 2 days from seed, right after I upped them to 7gal Airpots. This has been a very vigorous garden. You will also get better at doing the right things and less of the wrong ones.

That looks ace, I have some fabric pots for them to go into next, which will be mixed with perlite, so hopefully it will just blow up in size

Depends on your lights, CO2, and nutes... In 4 weeks my plants grew over 5 feet 6 inches...it's my best grow yet.

Iknow Sativa grow quite quick also quite long, but what I'm growing is indica dominant, and was told they tend to grow slower, I use Buddha's tree organics,

Typically 8 weeks or 10. I've pushed 11 or 12 but have ended up with problems any longer. Hope this helps.

Funny you mention Subcool. Was just talking with a very old friend the other day and he mentioned having a bag of seeds from him. His wife is a realtor and helped Subcool buy a place in Silverton, OR. Guess he was so happy with the deal he handed her a nice goody bag of his seeds.
