Plant not revegging

I revegged before, but it's not working this time under different circumstances. This time the plant was pretty large and I cut off a lot of plant to harvest. So not a lot of vegetation left to support what's left of a big plant. I also trimmed off considerable root mass to put in a smaller pot which worked for the males at pollen time. She grew under hid's, but now I'm trying to reveg under low watts. It' sunder one cfl and 2 cheapo LED want things for total 18/6. Last time reveg took 3 to 4 weeks. It's been 5 weeks. Buds and stalk browning out and looks pretty dead. My guesses what could be wrong

1. not enough light for it's size?
2. cutting wrong?
3. cutting roots?
   
4. was too mature?

What do you think? Is there any hope it lives? Anything I should change to try and save it?

It looks ready for the compost heap. Sealing the stem when you chop helps them survive for reveg.

good idea. what's a good sealant? latex paint? rubber cement? beeswax?

I’ve used duct tape. Beeswax might be good too.

I have had success rubbing aloe on damaged areas...no science to back this up...but it works for me.

Hi raggyb!

Could it be improper watering or feeding?

I've successfully taken plants from larger pots and put them in 1 gallon pots to reveg.
I take a knife and cut a circle around the base that will fit into a 1 gallon pot.

A key could be watering and feeding.

I add about an inch of fresh soil. An amended soil I make that is not very hot around the cut out rood ball when transplanting. After getting the soil evenly moist I'll water very sparingly with water only until they begin to reveg. Then when veg starts I'll give them a very light top dressing with something like happy frog 6-4-4. Maybe 2 tsp. Might also add some EWC. Then continue water only for a couple of weeks while the leaves develop. Again the plant will not be drinking a lot until it starts to take off.

I'd guess lights can only be a problem if they are to close or to intense. The plant doesn't need much light to reveg.

She may just need a lil more time, sometimes they just don't have it in them to revert, but not often. If you have b vits or anything that will help boost her health I would give her some.

@Kushash, yeah I may have a watering problem. I only added a bit of Superthrive to the second watering which @macsnax I think has vit b I think. I have one finishing to try agian. I'll probably remember to report the result. I'm thinking try and keep it under the more intense MH but raise the light, seal the cut stem/s, add a little vits, and keep it in its pot hopefully until it starts showing leaves. Then downsize the pot, ammend a bit and move under the little light. Thanks for the ideas.

You cut too much plant off of that stem. Theres isn't any fan leaves left and the fan leaves are needed to produce the energy to revert back into a veg cycle. Better luck next time bud.

That doesn't look like it's going to be a successful reveg.

Needed to leave more green material.

Question is why?

You need to grow new root tips, to reveg, either pot up or remove from pot, cut off some roots and replant. You may be too far in

@ANC last time I revegged I left them in their pots and it still worked. But are you saying trimming the roots is known to work better?
@budman111 why what? reveg? I want to turn it into a mother and practice cloning off a mom.

Chopped today and dripped melted beeswax on 4 or 5 of the bigger stem cuts. Hard to hold my hand steady doing that lol. Added water and got the bubbles going. Moved to 18 hours. May add more duct tape asap but not today I'm tired. Cross your fingers. Not many leaves left to help out.

i have had good success with clipping a bud with stem and stabbing it in to the soil in a pot and leaving it in the back of the veg tent till it starts to grow normal then take clones

Yea, she's fucked. I rubbed against her and her buds just like went to dust, haha!
I thought revegging is easier than cloning because it's a whole plant and I thought cloning in flower doesn't work well anyhow so this is easier way to save her once you know she's a she. Anyhow, try 2 is in action. Day 2. Put the duct tape on yesterday after all. But still too lazy to take a pic.
