Plant Problem - Twisted deformed seedling

Hey Everyone! This is my first post and grow and I need some advice.

I'm growing in a bubbleponics DWC setup using general hydroponic nutes. Lighting is a 450w LED with dimmers. Dimmer are 80% blue and white and 30% red.

Ph is about 5.7 and ppm is 130. First week was
plain ph'd water.

Temps run between 70F - 75F. Humidity at 35%.

Seedling is about 10 days old with extremely twisted and deformed leaves......so what's going on here?

The adhesive on that tape could be fucking with her. Or she could just be a little mutie freak. Why do you have her taped so hard? I grow dwc myself but I don't cover any of the top of the planter just the lid. Covering your planting material like thatcan lead to mold. you need air circulation. What does your bucket/ bin/ rez look like? She looks a little small to be in her bin just yet. Here a shot you can see the planter in.

Thanks for the reply! I actually have the planter covered to stop light from getting into the rez as much as possible.

I actually started her in my setup. Haven't had any problems doing so. When do you transplant to your rez?

I'll post a pic in a few minutes to show inside of rez

Check for any little bugs under some +10-20 magnification as the bottom looks all good. Could just be genetic. The new growth looks abit better so they may grow out of it.

The airstones create a mist of water and bubbles under and around the net pot so the roots should be ok. They seem to be growing out of the net fine

Do roots actually touch solution? Multiple roots actually? Is this the net basket above the solution? Not touching it at all?
Yes roots are in the solution. Water is pumped to roots until the roots reach the solution.

I believe it doesn't need to be fully touching because the air stones create a mist inside the rez which keeps the roots moist. Like Truth also said.

Im leaning toward mutie, but id still give her a week, she may grow out of it and be the best plant ever.

You need to remove the tape covering the net pots. You'll end up with stem rot keeping the humidity around the base like that. Fill the pot with hydroton to block the light. I grew about 50 DWC grows in Rubbermaid tubs under 1000W HPS and never taped the tops.

Holy crap! Ditch that pump/nute heater and get your water levels up just an inch below the bottom of the pots. That pump is useless but will keep your nute temps up and lead to root rot.

You say your ppm is 190. How much of that is tap water ppm? You should be at least 300ppm for nutes so whatever your tap ppm aim for 300 + tap ppm. Do yourself a favour and use RO only. With AN pH Perfect nutes and RO all I had to worry about was ppm.

as soon as they start showing some vigorous growth raise to 500ppm then higher as they get bigger and can take it. I have really low RH most of the time so never went over 750 to prevent toxic salts build up and massive burn later in flower.

Seriously. Ditch that pump and raise the nute level. I ran 2 - 12" airstones and that was it. Used to use just one per tub and that worked fine too. 50L of nutes in the tall tubs. All those roots only take up 2L of space. I was really surprised when I measured it out after that grow.

Good luck!
