Plants wont ripen

Does anybody knoe why some plants dont ever ripen?
I grow from seed and it seems every run i have a couple plants that never ripen. I grow 36 plants, 12 plants each of a different strain. I mean, all the plants will run 8-9 weeks but there are always a few that after 9 weeks still look like they are in week 5.
Is it just a different pheno or are the ladies just defective?

I have noticed that some tend to finish before others, but not that far off, maybe a couple weeks behind at most.

Yeah im on a schedule so i cant wait that long. Ill jist chop and turn to wax

I am interested to see if anyone has info on this or just growing period and going like 10 weeks and your plants still just are not finishing(Indoor grows) The plants are under 12/12 proper nutrients being feed etc. im not new....just this issue is maybe PH off and not absorbing any nutrients? I am not 100% sure cause everything goes so well big buds but they just don't seem to ripen up like I would want them to. I use 20x 30x 40x 50x magninifiers to check trichs out too and I feel like they look good and all its just the bud structure and smell is offfff. If some legit knowledge gets laid down here to help understand what might cause these types of issues I would be very appreciative of whoever it is that took the time to pass on the information.

You can also “ force finish “ plants by dropping schedule to 10/14 to help push them by simulation of shorter days. It works on plants that may have stalled. But sometimes you get unstable genetics and they are not fully worked. Many breeders sling F1 seeds .

However 12 weeks on a plant isnt all that unusual.

Time is the best ripener as long as enough light and air exchange is going on.

Sometimes you get new growth when there's too much light at the end.
Sometimes its worth reducing light hours to help ripen at the end.

I find harsh language helps

Get yourself some propper sativas mate.
Then you'll know how long weed takes to finish.
10-12 weeks minimum, I've had a few go 14 weeks on 12/12.
Heart breaking amount of time to spend growing smoke but fuck me it's been worth it every time!

Yeah I’ve decided that suggested times mean nothing lol none of my 8 -9 week strains are ready and I’m pushing 11 weeks. Waiting more has definitely been getting tough and I’m doing 11/13 might have to drop it another hour

There just rule thumb co2 can knock a week off finishing times. Clones finish faster they the seeds they came from usually. Any environmental stress can make them need to go longer. In my experience colder nights and keeping temps low 70’s help my indica leaning plants finish faster to.
