Please recommend a CBD strain (close to 0% THC)

Hi folks,

not sure if it's OK to ask for reviews here, but I need some input.

I am looking for a CBD strain with as little THC as possible. I can only micro-dose THC because I find the effect unpleasant unless it's very subdued.
I am not a medical user, but I like the relaxing effect of the CBD.

The strain I am looking for should be loaded with CBD and preferably have less than 1% THC, even better if close to none (ie. technically legal in most jurisdictions).
Not looking for a "CBD hemp" strain, these are garbage and too weak.

It is important that I can order the seeds in the EU (do not want to import from US or Canada myself, too risky and too much of a hassle).

So far I have found (and acquired) "CBD Charlotte's Angel" by Dutch Passion, which comes pretty close to my expectations according to the label. Have not gotten around to growing it out yet.

Any recommendations are welcome. I know that there are plenty of strains with a 1:1 or 2:1 CBD:THC ratio and the like, but I am not interested in these.

Dutch Passion CBD Charlotte's Angel is supposed to be very low THC. I have some but haven't grown any out yet.

Thanks, any specific recommendations for a strain from either of them? Looking for something not too finicky to grow.

Yep. I am exactly in the same position :). They're waiting in my fridge for their time to shine...

Can you buy high cbd hemp buds in Europe? If so, it might not be worth growing them if it's anything like here. Horn Creek Hemp sells $25 ounces of 20% CBD hemp flower, which would be perfect for you because it has almost no THC. AND hemp flower is vastly more economical than CBD oil products. IDK if they ship internationally.

The CBD buds that are sold here (< 0.2% THC) are pretty bad. Usually around 4% CBD and they taste like garbage.

If there was something like you mentioned available (20% CBD for 1$ per gram... sigh...) I would be more than happy to buy that.
Importing anything that could be illegal cannabis across the pond is a non-starter. It will be seized at customs, they're certainly not going to do a lab test first and then forward it to you when it turns out to be legal...

So unfortunately, there is no good direct source right now, also I like to grow because it's a fun hobby, so I don't mind growing it myself (and keep clones) if I can get my hands on prime genetics.

Ace Seeds, in Spain, has a couple of CBD strains, and they're always wonderful to deal with. You also have the CBD Crew guys over there, I think also in Spain. Not sure if they have exactly what you are looking for. I just recommended ACE Hokkaido to someone else, it's a legit Japanese landrace, but it still has around 5% THC in most phenos. I'm not sure who is selling straight up high CBD hemp seeds though. Good luck! I wish you could try some of Horn Creek's stuff, some of their varieties have 6% terpenes, so they have good flavor. My Aunty hates THC but I got her to throw out the ripoff CBD oil products she was using and now she vapes hemp flowers and loves it.

I've read about Ace Seeds in that other thread. Really a great suggestion, plus they're in Spain, so easy for me to order from them.
I know about the CBD Crew, some very reputable breeders in that collective.

The Hokkaido strain surely looks interesting, but I'm currently not into growing regulars and selecting for phenotypes, that's a little too ambitious and I do not have the time.

OZ Kush from Hoku is AMAZING man. It’s has one of the most fonky terpene profiles that I’ve came across in CBD flower so far. Not 100% sure but I think there’s a breeder in Switzerland called One CBD that has a few really nice strains available. Check out Greenhouse Seeds strain called Deep Candy also. Those should be pretty easy for you to get ahold of in the EU since Greenhouse is there also.

"Deep Candy" is something to try, and I'll definitely try "CBD #1" from Ace Seeds. Both easy to get in EU.

"OZ Kush" sounds great as well, they call it "Original Zombie Kush" in their shop, in case somebody is looking for it. Those seeds are dirt cheap, I guess I'll try to order some. I don't feel so great by importing from overseas, I get a feeling they might get snatched. We'll have to see.

The CBD strains are really coming through now from various breeders, just the other day when I was browsing SeedsMan I've found several more.

Go to WNC Cbd or Five Leaf Wellnees and pick just about anything that isn't one of their high THCA strains. They both are top of line Market leaders in quality, value, and selection; and each offering will have a lab highlights in the description telling you the levels of all cannabinoids found therein. A few of my favorites include Northern Lights (can't get enough of it lol) BaOx, AC/DC, Blue Cheese (sh*÷ is divine), anything Abacus, and Suver Haze. Most are ND for THC.
