Police stopped to say hi ? Paranoia or are they out to get me.

Hi first post, just popped the seeds on my second grow. First went, Gelato from ilovegrowingmj and got a good yield and it was strong at least I thought so. Anyway I was coming out of my neighbors house, they werent up yet so I turn around and there's the police car and a cop is standing there asking do I live here.

Now I have recently had a silencer and a new carbon filter delivered to the address of my neighbor but I have everything else from last year so not an abundance of packages just the two big items. Now I was sober talking to them I said I lived next door and they asked me my name then went away no hassle . Normal police harassment and I'm inclined to view this as a funny coincidence. Pop seeds next morning chatting with the police. I basically had everything but the kitchen sink sent to the house last year without a bother. Push on ?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks I will do that I have them blacked out with a large thick piece of cardboard and then a heavy curtain attached but I didnt recheck it from last year. Its basically five months of shitting a brick.

Yeah I did pull my plants Down to 5 because it’s just a misdemeanor here, but he was definitely there to arrest me, if they didn’t do anything else I would continue

Yea I will just push on I'm growing four plants but it aint legal here it can be the slammer. So it make me wary I dont actually have any in the house so there would be no weight. Thanks for the help it can be hard on the nerves without actually having a cop car outside your house at seven in the morning. Takecare of yourself can't let the bastards get you down.

I've had the DEA at my house bub....I was part of some big thing that was going on in my little town I guess. I just shrugged my shoulders at 'em. As far as I knew, we were helping patients that had med cards. If your in the US, it's more or less legal now anyhow. Other countries, they will follow.

More or less is too much gray area for me!

I had a meter reader come by while I was out side. I live rural and don’t use carbon filers
She looked at me and said “smells good”.
I replied “smells legal”. How the heck would she know?

never had trouble. But I also have dogs and long driveway. With a wood stove to get rid of what ever.
But it’s been legal for a few years here now.

It literally isn't legal in most states in the US. Also growing is exceptionally restricted in most states, and federally it is still illegal. I suppose it is a nice outlook when you live in a state where it isn't a big deal, but there are still plenty where it is.

That depends on the state. There are still states that will arrest and lock you up for growing cannabis. If I lived in Alabama and the cops came by I'd have a burn pile going in the backyard within minutes after they left. Unless I left with them in handcuffs.

"Alabama is considered one of the most conservative states in the US in regards to marijuana. Smoking or possessing any amount of recreational marijuana can land individuals in jail. First-time offenders are susceptible to a misdemeanor charge punishable to a one-year jail term and a fine of $6,000. In some cases, the jail term can be suspended with probation. Repeated offenders are charged with a Class C felony that is punishable with anywhere from one to 10 years of jail time and a $15,000 fine. The sale of recreational marijuana, even in trace amounts, is a Class B felony, and is punishable to a two to 20 years prison sentence with a $30,000 fine. Selling marijuana to minors can lead to life imprisonment.

The cultivation of cannabis for any purpose, including personal, commercial, medical, and research, is illegal in Alabama. Growing cannabis or any of its derivatives on your personal property can result in a trafficking felony punishable by a minimum three years imprisonment and a $25,000 fine."

I think that state by state legalization has most people here feeling entirely too comfortable. Just because the feds are currently leaving most state legal growers alone doesn't mean they can't come and seize your assets if they were so inclined. If you're growing in a state where it isn't legal, just remember that the house you are in could easily be seized-it has happened countless times in the past few decades-even if the owner of the house doesn't know that you are growing. There was a case in California not long before they legalized where an old Grandma's house was seized because her grandson was growing a few hidden plants in her backyard. I'm just saying, don't get too comfortable until we get true federal legalization.

Are you good, amigo?
Yea, all is well no sign of any follow up, the ladies are coming alone nicely. No risk no reward I guess. It's one of those things you either have a tight asshole and go for it or do without where it isn't legal. Knowing that going to jail is real possibility keeps you frosty. I had a little under two pounds on the last grow and that would take some explaining away. Truth was all for personal use and was gone well before the year was out. Enjoy the weekend.

Hello, my name is officer Patrick Edward Brown.

I'm sorry it took so long to respond. We've been really busy around the precinct. Someone will be out to assist you shortly. Thanks for your patience.

Two years ago before I quit smoking cigs I went outside to find police Tahoe’s on the grass outside my condo. Cops crawling around everywhere and the FBI even. I live on an end condo and they where on my end of the condo looking up at my second story. Looking up everywhere. My butthole clinched so hard negative space happened and a black hole formed. I asked one of the FBI agents should I be worried. They said no there was a human trafficking ring in the condo next to mine. I had my window exhaust going full bore. The rest of that cig was the best ever.

My advice is the same advice the Ghetto boys made a song about. We don’t talk to police. Make them do their work and find out. Don’t tell them
Shit.

I would move...But that's me...and if the cops wanted to arrest me, they would have to carry me. I'm disabled, and in this state, I was given a choice by my doctor, I could either be doped up by morphine or oxy's or such, or I could use cannabis. So here I am. And that's what I told the DEA when they were here and I said there more than welcome to visit my garden anytime they want. They said that their not interested in people like me, who are following they law and using the law the way it was meant to be used. There were to many overdoses and deaths in my state so they said what the hell, lets follow Cali and Colorado and find a way to tax the hell out of people and still screw them over somehow. Because you can't get a damn bank account. But I say you only live once, and I have to live in jail, at least it's 3 hots and a cot. LOL

I would move as well.

I was just using Alabama as an example. I'm in Oregon and we have curbside delivery from the dispensaries that are all over the place selling recreational use cannabis. We're also allowed to grow 4 plants. The police around Portland don't give a damn about cannabis. They're too busy dealing with all the homeless meth addicts stealing anything in site. I have a friend that had about 12 plants growing outside and the police showed up due to a domestic issue. They saw the plants and didn't do anything even though he had 3 times the limit. They didn't say a word about the plants. And now they've even decriminalized small amounts of meth, heroine, cocaine, etc... here in Oregon.

I hear you about the oxy. That stuff has destroyed so many lives.

I heard that it's not fully decriminalized. I heard if you get caught with that stuff they send you to rehab instead of jail or fines.
