Like I was saying before, pollinating plants doesn't affect the overall potency, because only the calyxes that receive pollen will be affected. And even then the area around the calyx will still produce plenty resin (aka potency), only if pollinated it will also have to spend resources on growing the seed inside it's calyx.

Whatever calyxes you pollinate will produce seeds if the pollen is viable. If you do it very carefully, you can easily do just select branches and keep the rest sinsemilla. If you do it sloppily, you'll end up with a lot more random seeds in a lot more places. It's all dependent upon you and the way that you pollinate the plants as that's what will determine how many seeds you get and where they are located on the plants.

i remember you telling me this...i just wanted to hear it from a couple more people before i went and pollinated most of my plants. i just did tho. i want too careful being that a couple seeds here and there wont make a difference. how long should i wait to spray pollen with water? i have fans off so excess pollen from pollinated nugs doesnt spread undesirably. nugs are gettin big man! ill post some up this weekend.

Sorry buddy, I wasn't trying to be all 'I told you before'ish! But glad you dove in, you'll find out soon enough what I've been talking about and after this first time all your questions will be answered.

I didn't even spray my plants. I just did the pollinating very carefully. But I also pulled the ones I pollinated out of the flowering chamber so the other's didn't get contaminated. But if you did it all in the room yo flower in you can indeed spray everything (plants, pots, walls) down with plain distilled water Ph'd properly to nutralize any rogue pollen. Whatever has hit the plants has already done the damage, but you can get rid of it for next time. Just wait until lights/fans are about to come on for the first time after pollinating and sitting in the dark period for 12 hrs, and then 10 mins before lights/fans on just spray everything down. Shazaam.

Heres something i rad last night by Sam the Skunkman on another forum.

24 Hours is what I have used in the past, it worked fine.
Maybe 30 mins is all you need but I do not need to hurry so much, I spray my plants for longer then that with water, needed or not. I just want to be sure to kill or sprout all the pollen in the rooms roof, walls, floors, as well as the plants leaves etc.

couldn't you just wrap the branch/area you pollinated in a plastic bag or something? keep it isolated.

I doubt that would stop it from making seeds, but idk if you would lose some of the plants strength to make them (less seeds, less zebra seeds and more immature ones)?

Why not just pollenate your female in another location like a bathroom and then bring it back into the flowering room.

That's been working fine for me.
