PPFD Aps

I use free lux and ppfd aps from google play. I assume they are not as accurate as dedicated meters. Anyone have any experience with these?

This is my first grow. First couple weeks. I think I had light intensity too high just lowered. I identified some leaf heat or light stress. Now maxing at 600 PPFD according to PPFD meter ap.
I was blasting with 800-900 PPFD early veg or late seedling.

The accuracy depends on the phone used, my cheap Androids max out at something like 29,000 lux or 400 something PAR. Definitely not as good as a PAR meter.

I now use a bluetooth lux meter paired with the PPFD Meter app. I'll tell you the accuracy when I buy a PAR meter. ;-)

New Light Meter

I have had several Great Grows. I have never used a light Meter. I want to begin to fine tune my tent. 4x4 by 80 inches tall. Using Viparspectra Pro Series PS2000 one on each side and a PS1500 across the back. I think it is over saturation. And I also think I could do without the PS1500. But its...

My Samsung S7 works pretty good. I haven't found a max that it can't read. Maybe it's the app you've got?

Do you people look at the permissions you're giving those free apps you're running on your phones? Many have access to your contacts and other data. Often you're allowing the publisher of the app to collect data when installing apps on your phone.

With some apps it's either agree to the terms or not install. It's not a buffet where you can pick and choose. Many don't read the fine print and just click yes to everything. Not all apps are that way but many are.

I know some people don't get it but I don't install stupid shit, :bigjoint:. My Lux App doesn't ask for any permissions or I would have found another. It has no reason to access shit,:bigjoint:

Photone, just make sure if you're using an iPhone you look up their "filter" method (put printer paper over top of screen) or it will not work.

Thanks for above. I didnt grant these aps any permissions. And i dont have tik tok. I have a cheap pixel. Readings are consistent, but no idea if they are accurate.
