Problems in soil - pics

Hi guys

i Popped these strains a couple of weeks ago, two different strains and they’re both showing this yellowing and discolouraction

they’re in a small veg tent under a 300w led

was told by the guy at the shop that The soil doesn’t have any nutrients in so I’ve been giving them around half of the recommended dose of growers ark grow feed at 6.4ph

are they hungry?

ill up the feed a little and see if they get better

Your plants have magnesium deficiency, could be the food or the low ph, I would keep my ph closer to 6.7
6.4 is a little low
Also the soil look a little woody, low quality soil.

Woody mulchy soil usually runs acidic.
Which will mess with your nutes especially with no microbes or humus.

So he would need chalk and magnesium and maybe measure the ph of drained water?
Perhaps adding some hydro grains or/and perlite when repotting

Been thinking about this, magnesium (Epson salt) will reduce your pH causing lock out.

So I would rise the water ph to 7 while you give the plants Epson salts

could it be due to the LED light that they need some cal/mag?

The light has nothing to do with the soil..

so my soil Is just terrible and it’s nothing to do with the plant needing more cal mag because it’s under LED?

ive read a few places that the plants use a lot more cal/mag under LED

This is probably because the plants use less water than under hps " heat"

it’s from a local store that comes in black plain bags, I believe it’s from a company called mega pot

Is it dirt or is it soilless media? They both have differing pH, water and nutrient requirements. Call that shop and find out what you have.

Either way it needs more food.

Just dirt, not coco or anything

just plain soil with no nutrients

They look like they are a little older than two weeks too...time for more food after transferring to a larger pot to grow in.

If you are going to stick with that soil, I think the transplant shock, if any, will be minimal. I typically only water after an up-potting, but like everything else associated with growing this plant - methods are open to interpretation and feel...I am sure there are people here that feed after transplanting regularly and see no issue with it.

Some would think it is too much stress and then you have others that mainline autos and say fuck your stress haha.
