Psilocybe Cubensis Golden Teacher grow

Yoo
Well I had another thread open for my cake pic but I figured I'd start a new one for my harvest (on-the-go)...

I say 'on-the-go' because some of the shrooms are breaking their veils earlier than others, so I'm picking earlier as not to lose potency.

The first one I picked was tiny but this is the biggest one so far. It could have gone a bit longer I think but it looked like there may have been mold starting to develop so I picked early and got rid of the mold.

Do you think the psilocybin content will still be adequate, or will picking it early destroy all chances of that?

Anyways here it is. It was growing awkwardly in the chamber too, making it difficult to open and close the chamber since it was growing on the floor of it.

It weighs in at 17.6g wet.

And here's a shot of the cake now.
There's 10 shrooms on it, from 1/4cm to about 4 inches.

They're not all visible from this angle but this angle does show the bulk of them. The others are tiny pins.

Enjoy! :)

Awesome, ok...
So I just checked on the cake again and that shroom you see on the left in that photo in my previous post is massive - probably 7 or 8 inches now. Should be ready for harvesting soon hopefully. The first few shrooms on the cake grew really sloppy but after about the first 10%-20% they started to grow more uniformly and more sturdy.

I'll get a pic of the cake for you guys tonight and a more precise measurement on the big shroom.

Peace

thanks dude
i used the pftek, but instead of using 9 jars or whatever, i only used one for each strain. waste? yes... but lack of room when it comes to the fruiting stage, so i had to do it.
anyways, it came out a strong cake i'd say, at least for a first time.
i just harvested today and my total harvest is about 65g wet.
i'm not disappointed, hell i didn't even expect them to grow!
i'm trying to dry them between paper towel but its taking FOREVER lol
anyways im dunking today and gonna put 'er back in the fruiter tonight before i hit the sack ;)
peace

Nice man! Although whenever I look at shrooms growing it makes me not want to dose every again. They just look so damn gross!

thanks :)

i harvested two before the main harvest because one of the veils had seperated and the other was just growing like an idiot lol
but at the main harvest i did it when the veil was seperating, because i woke up and checke don them right away and noticed that on one of them it had already broken and the other was halfway so i just harvested them all at that point
so basically when you see that its breaking, pick it lol

just got back from buying some more supplies (2 fruiting chambers and 8 jars) for my next 4 strains :)

i got the spores for this grow from spores101.com, reliable source in my opinion, great communication and delivery.

the strains for my next grows i ordered from ralphsters spores, we'll see how that one goes. just sent the money yesterday.

good work, did you weigh them? you should...

should be an eighth ounce, at least...

dose wet shrooms sometime, growers delight.

Thanks nashbar
I did weigh them, they all came out to 64.5 or so grams all together, wet.
I'm in the proces of drying them now, and the cake is dunking, gonna take care of puting it back in the fruiter tonight... setting up a new chamber all together for that matter... I'll post a pic tonight once I have some privacy in the home lol

Here you are my good friends, as promised :)

I cut all the fruit in half so they'd dry faster, also so equal doses can be more easily reached.

Enjoy :)
Comments, questions, concerns... replies are welcome...

The cake's been in the water a while now, it's going back in the fruiting chamber tonight around midnight - 1am. Will get some more pics up then too.
