I guess ill have to do some trimming to it then... i cant switch to veg, have a mostly indica a few weeks into flower...
Pure sativa 12/12 from seed???

Ive placed a pure sativa El Dorado on 12/12 for about 1.5 months and still no sex
male sex does show first and I have yet to see any balls so Im guessing its female.... since Ive topped it the leaves on top just seem to grow and grow. Those leaves are now the size of my hand in a half gallon container. Plant is about 2 feet tall

I've been growing for 20 years and I count myself one of the best growers in the world. Sativa and Indicas are totally opposite end of the spectrum. When I grow pure Sativa & Sativas hybrids I use a 12/12 light cycle for veg & flowering. For Indicas I use 16Hrs for veg and 12 hrs for Pre/Flowering & Flowring depending what mehod of growing I use. There are so many diffrent ways plants can be grown. I've been engineering this way of growing plant for 20 years and I got excellent results and very big yield, The tast and smoke is smoething else so good. anybody that does needs tips I can help email me @ [email protected] I'm also making a book but not publish that I will have complete in March of 2013. Selling for 20 dollars and its all about how to grow, nutrients everything you need to know. I also use flourescents for seedlings to save money.

I've grown 12/12 from seed a few times with mostly positive results, the more sativa the better off they are. Indicas stay a bit to small, but still grow well, I've yielded from 1 to 4oz. very little lower waste or need for much lolly popping.
currently I have 2 plants 12/12 from seed
Here is a Colombian Gold from reg seeds, 6 weeks from seeing hairs 11 weeks total. I think she will go 3 or 4 more unless I see bud rot in the big thick cola, one of the problems with 12/12.
and this is a white widow from my own seeds staying a lot shorter and compact, same 6 weeks since hairs and 11 from seed.
the nugs are huge and thick. Shes prone to bud rot. I think I'm picking her in a week or two.
here is a CBDShark Shock 12/12 a few years back, yielded 3+, she was even topped
and here is a papaya from 10 years ago when I started growing and using 12/12 yielded 4oz
before I ever heard of defol and was following Jorges book and he said leave them alone

Amen to that. Doesn’t take a genius to know sativas originated along equatorial boundaries with even sunlight all the time. I always listen though to people claiming to be one of the best growers in the world. Probably the entire galaxy. He’s just being modest.
nice! Im doing a 12/12 now a week in it. Did you use extra nutrients? Or just water? Im hoping mine buds like yours.The strain is from my grandfathers gardenim sure its a hybrid. He has a outdoor grow and I just took seeds fromhis buds. So we dont know the exact strain becauses they e been pollenatedso many times and crossed over the years

Keifcake do you know what the strain actually is please? Alot of breeders make claims of pure sativas or sativa dominant hybrids yet there are very few actual real sativas available in the commercial market. You can start a true pure sativa in 12/12 from seed and it will continue to veg and grow and stretch till its able to mature and sex. Some can get quite huge as they can take up to 9 weeks to sex. Its only when they get to that stage that they will begin to try and flower, with many still shooting out long vegging tips. Only when the hours are bought to more dark than light do they then truly start to bloom properly. Sad thing is not many people around nowdays even know plants like this exist because their too used to the commercial market , were breeders have been calling indicas like gg4 and og sativas when their cleary not.

Most of my grows are amended soils with water only and maybe 2 or 3 teas.
this is Super Silver Haze 12/12 from seed 2 weeks seeing hairs. She's very similar structure to the CG I just grew.
There are many strains that grow great using just 12/12 from the start, and to just name a few... GSC White Widow, SS Kali Mist, 00S Sweet Critical, VIPS Currant Kush, and SS Bubble Gum, and I feel like those do well running them 12/12 from the start because even running them using just 12/12 they all still take 6 to 8 weeks to flower, and if you don't want to wait that long, just drop them down to 10/14 for a week and all of them will begin flowering if they are 28 days or older! And with a good light source and good soil, or if they are fed well, they will always provide a very good yield. Sure, you are not going to pull 1/2 pound off a plant, but on a 5-6 week veg in a final 5 gallon pot using only 12 hours of light, you should be able to pull 3-5 zips every time!

I dont have a clue which one I was doing then. Now I'm running a Golden Tiger from Ace seeds, only about 2 weeks since germination. Height is less of a concern now, since I have a huge 8x4x8 ft tent. I also ordered oldtimers haze a week ago.
I agree, it is sad many people don't have a clue about sativas.
